The annual celebration of our State will again be held across two days this weekend, with a plethora of free daytime entertainment backed up by high octane music concerts both nights at Burswood Park.

A WA-themed drone show, exclusive to Saturday night, is tipped to be one of the weekend’s standouts, while fireworks will cap the free activities both nights.

WA Day Festival 2025: Almost a dozen free rides, as well as showbag favourites, on offer for weekend of fun

With just two sleeps to go, the countdown is officially on for WA’s favourite family festival — and there is plenty of fun to be had.

WA Day Festival celebrations will kick-off on Saturday morning, with tens of thousands of festival-goers expected to descend on Burswood Park for the two-day carnival.

The event will boast almost a dozen free fairground rides and more than 40 showbags — including the infamous Bertie Beetle showbag.

Among the nine rides on offer are the heart-stopping Dream Swinger and Storm, and carnival favourites Dodgem Drift and Cup and Saucer.

Seven-year-old Edie Murphy was given an exclusive sneak peak of the Fiesta Balloon on Thursday afternoon — a dizzying ride, spinning young thrill-seekers into the sky — and said she wanted to ride it “100 times”.
