The Running Man Worldwide Box Office – Nears The Global Total Of Meg Ryan & Russell Crowe’s Early 2000s Action Thriller
The dystopian action thriller The Running Man, the second adaptation of Stephen King’s 1982 novel, is now in its third week in theaters. This means The Running Man needs around $2.6 million more to overtake it. Before reaching that benchmark, the film is also on track to surpass the global total of an early-2000s action thriller starring Meg Ryan and Russell Crowe. You take the world of John Carpenter’s They Live, push it up 100 years, and you get something like The Running Man. You can see it in most of Paul Verhoeven’s work, just on the tip of the horizon.
