In September, the Stardew Valley creator Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone lifted the lid on a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of his farming and life sim. During the Nintendo Direct reveal, it was noted how this version would be arriving in "Fall 2025". We're now just weeks out from the end of the year, so what's the status of it?

Stardew Valley creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone says that news relating to the promised Switch 2 edition of the farming sim is "coming soon." First announced during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct, the updated version of the 2016 gaming hit was initially scheduled to be released in fall 2025.
Originally launching on PC, Stardew Valley has been so successful that it has received a version on every platform imaginable, from Linux to PlayStation Vita.
