Brooks Koepka has announced he is leaving the LIV Golf Tour after four seasons with the breakaway golf league.

The star took five titles in the controversial tour and has identified the reason for stepping back from competition as wanting to spend "more time at home."

The 35-year-old has three PGA Championships and two US Opens and in 2022, signed the third-highest contract to join LIV Golf with a $130 million ($194m AUD) contract.

"Brooks Koepka will be stepping away from LIV Golf. He is deeply grateful to Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Scott O'Neil, and the LIV Golf leadership team, his teammates, and the fans," Koepka said in a statement.

One of LIV Golf's most high-profile names has left the tour. Five-time major winner Brooks Koepka announced Tuesday that he will no longer play for LIV Golf or captain Smash GC, his now former LIV Golf team.

"He is deeply grateful to Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Scott O’Neil, and the LIV Golf leadership team, his teammates, and the fans. Brooks Koepka, 35, announced Tuesday that he is leaving LIV Golf after serving as one of the Saudi Arabia-backed tour's signature faces since he signed with the organization ahead of its inaugural 2022 season. Koepka, a five-time major championship winner, did not hoist a trophy in 2025 for the first time in five years, finishing 31st in the league's individual standings.
