A Phoebe Litchfield masterclass ensured Australia remain undefeated in 22 ODIs at Allan Border Field after fast bowler Megan Schutt joined an elite club of great bowlers.
Litchfield’s 77 off 57 deliveries ensured Australia polished off the meagre 166 all out set by Bangladesh in just 25.4 overs for the loss of three wickets.
Litchfield combined ramps, glides, clips, exquisite drives, lofted pitching wedges, reverse hockey thumps and thunderous wallops in another opening knock that confirmed she is unique in world cricket and an absolute joy to watch.
The left-hander was unstoppable in racing to her 12th ODI half-century.
Allrounder Annabel Sutherland, player of the match, finished the chase with 26 not out after earlier taking four wickets.
