Visitors have travelled from far and wide to join the action at the 2026 Royal Geelong Show.
Friday marked the beginning of multiple competitions, including the Victorian Whip Cracking Championship and the novice and open Blade Shearing Competitions.
The Championship Dog Show was also in full swing, with Roger Ship and Stewart Budd, competing with their toy poodle Denny.
“Today he became an Australian champion,” Budd said. “He’s already a Japanese champion.”
Despite his presentation on Friday, Budd said Denny is not always dolled up. It took the pair about 2 hours to prepare Denny, but Budd said he will be back to looking like a normal dog by nightfall.
