He was subjected to a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result.
The man was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station, where a secondary breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.250, five times the legal limit of 0.05.
The man was issued a Court Attendance Notice for driving with a high range prescribed concentration of alcohol and had his licence suspended.
