    THE BOYS Latest Death Is Its Most Heartbreaking

    The penultimate episode of The Boys hit us hard with some pretty sharp twists and turns. Homelander is essentially unstoppable and continues to eliminate anyone whom he feels is standing in his way. The Boys collective are in a race to figure out if there’s still any hope for taking down Homelander or if it is even worth trying anymore. And, their venture to do this became even harder after the team took a significant loss. The Boys season five, episode seven ends with the absolutely crushing death of Frenchie, who was the heart of the group. 

    The writing has been on the wall for Frenchie and/or Kimiko to die in this season. They’ve been talking about what they wanted their lives to be like after everything was over with Homelander. And we all know that when people talk about happily ever after, that usually means one of them is going to die. In this episode, Frenchie and Butcher were working on a plan to replicate Soldier Boy’s power in hopes of taking down Homelander.

    ‘The Boys’ Episode 7 Just Canceled ‘Gen V’ In The Show, Too

    Gen V fans have had a rough go of it the last few weeks, the show officially canceled ahead of a season 3, while new prequel Vought Rising is going full-steam ahead as a planned multi-season series, taking over enormous chunks of The Boys season 5 in the process.

    Now, fans were once again given the finger in the penultimate episode of The Boys, episode 7 out of 8, where, for the first time, Gen V members actually appeared onscreen instead of just being mentioned in passing. It did not go great.

    In a two-minute scene, Jordan Li and Marie Moreau meet up with Starlight to give them intel on Oh Father’s location, as previously they’ve been mentioned as doing this and that to help the “movement” on Starlight’s behalf. But once they're there, asking to actually get in the fight, Starlight dismisses them, and Marie in particular, saying, “What good’s all that power, Marie, if you can’t control it?”

This will be the eighth studio album release from Delta Goodrem and it is available to pre-save/pre-order now. All of Delta’s previous albums have made it into the top 2 of the Australian charts, with her last album in 2021 “Bridge over Troubled Dreams” reaching number 1.

    Delta Goodrem was internally selected to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The song that Delta will perform in Vienna is called “Eclipse”. It was written and composed by Michael Fatkin, Jonas Myrin, Ferras Alqaisi and Delta herself.

    Delta Goodrem Signs With Universal Music, Announces New Album

    It's been revealed that Delta Goodrem has signed with Universal Music as she announces details for her brand new album, Pure.

    On Monday (May 11th), the Australian pop artist confirmed that her eighth record will drop on November 6th via Universal Music and Better Now Records/Electrola.

    "I am so excited to be stepping into this new chapter and joining forces with Universal Music," Goodrem said.

    "It marks the beginning of a powerful new home for ATLED Records – something I am incredibly proud of – and I can’t wait to share what we create together.

    “Pure is an album I’ve been creating and living through over the past few years, and it truly feels like a return to myself and the heart of who I am as an artist. It holds some of my biggest singalongs, my most vulnerable moments, and brings in all the elements I love most in music – from intimate classical piano pieces to uplifting cinematic anthems.     Dua Lipa is suing South Korean technology firm Samsung in a US court for using an image of her without her consent.

    The complaint relates to the use of a photograph of the British singer on cardboard packaging for Samsung television sets sold across the US, according to legal papers filed Friday in federal court at the United States District Court Central District of California.

    Former model Lipa, 30, has become a global megastar in recent years, with hits including “Don’t Start Now,” “Levitating” and “Physical,” and has signed a raft of commercial deals with brands such as Puma, Yves Saint Laurent and Versace.

    Samsung Electronics on Tuesday denied claims by British pop singer Dua Lipa that the South Korean tech giant used her image on television packaging without permission, saying the image was used with authorization obtained through a content partner.

    Lipa's legal team filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for Central California last week seeking more than $15 million in damages, accusing Samsung of violating copyright, trademark and publicity rights laws.

    Samsung Electronics rejected the allegations of "intentional misuse" of Lipa's image.

    "Ms. Lipa's image was used in 2025 to reflect the content of our third-party partners that is available on Samsung TVs and was originally provided by a content partner for our free streaming service, Samsung TV Plus," Samsung said in a statement.

    Dua Lipa sues Samsung for $15m over use of her image on TV boxes

    Pop star Dua Lipa has filed a $15m (£11m) lawsuit against Samsung, alleging it used her image on packaging for its televisions without permission.

    Lipa alleges that Samsung prominently used a photograph of her face without consent on television models sold in the US, according to a lawsuit filed on Friday in California.

    Samsung's packaging was "designed to improperly capitalize on Ms. Lipa's hard-earned success to promote and sell Samsung's products", the filing said.

    Samsung denied the allegations, telling the BBC the image was provided by a third party and "used only after receiving explicit assurance from the content partner that permission had been secured".

    Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara, on May 11, welcomed New Zealand’s decision to consider the upgraded Mogami-class frigate as a candidate for the Royal New Zealand Navy’s future frigate programme, calling it beneficial for strengthening deterrence in the Indo-Pacific.

    Speaking at a press conference, Kihara said a potential New Zealand acquisition of the “Upgraded Mogami,” known in Japan as 06FFM or New FFM, could significantly improve interoperability among the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), and the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN).

    Kihara, who previously served as Japan’s defence minister from 2023 to 2024, said:

The @SpotifyStatus account on X shared an update on Tuesday afternoon, stating that the service is all clear and thanking users for their patience. The company didn't explain what caused the outage, but directed users still experiencing issues to contact community support through email.

    Spotify is down, and the company has confirmed it's working on the problem — though it hasn't said much beyond that.

    According to the Spotify Status account on X, the music streaming service acknowledged user complaints about an app outage on Tuesday and said it was looking into the issue. Users reaching out to Spotify on X report login issues, long loading times, and black screens.

    If you're trying to listen to something on Spotify today, you might be out of luck. Many are having problems with the service.

    According to Downdetector, users are having problems using online music streaming service. The problem popped up shortly after 9 a.m. on May 12. The problem has gotten worse since noon

    There were more than 150 complaints of an outage just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.

    About 54 percent of the problems are with the app, though server connection (19 percent) and audio streaming (18 percent) are also concerns.

    There is no timetable for when the issues will be resolved. Some comments on Downdetector say the problem was fixed for a little while, before acting up again.
