Because the show is titled simply after its protagonist’s name, Ted Lasso didn’t necessarily have to remain a series about an American coach leading a British soccer team. It’s possible, if unlikely, that this fourth season might have followed Ted around as he worked in the grocery, attended his son’s soccer games, helped his mom move, etc. But a series’ identity goes beyond its name, and with “Curiouser and Curiouser!” the season returns to familiar Ted Lasso territory after the previous episode’s prologue/catch-up session/Kansas City travel guide. But not everything looks the way it used to. There are a lot of new faces; some old, familiar faces are nowhere to be found; and some of those that did return have new jobs.

LONDON — Tanya Reynolds had never watched an episode of “Ted Lasso” before she was approached to audition for the fourth season of the Apple TV comedy. But the British actor sent in a tape anyway.

“It was just one scene and it was really funny,” Reynolds says. It’s a busy Saturday morning in central London and we’re huddled in the basement of an equally busy coffee shop. Reynolds, 34, seems surprisingly relaxed considering today marks the final two performances of “1536,” a play she’s been starring in at the Ambassadors Theatre since early May. She’s still incredulous that anyone would think of her to play Alice Chilton, a coach for A.F.C. Richmond’s new women’s team, the latest addition to the series.

Ted Lasso's Tanya Reynolds Unpacks Alice's Feelings Toward Rebecca — Plus, Why Is Rebecca Keeping Keeley In The Dark?

There's some new blood in Richmond's ranks — and we're not just talking about the Lady Greyhounds.

Among the new additions is Alice Chilton (played by "Sex Education" alum Tanya Reynolds), a character first referenced in Episode 1, when Higgins informed Rebecca that she'd thrown her hat in the ring to manage the women's team.

"Coach Chilton? I don't think she likes me very much," Rebecca remarked, to which Higgins responded, "Oh, it's not you. She doesn't like anyone."

"Wonderful," Rebecca replied. "So if Ted says no, and we can't hire a growling rottweiler, there's always Alice Chilton, waiting in the wings, growling even louder."

Bombshell calls send NRL halves market into rare frenzy

Intriguing contract decisions by a few of the NRL’s top halfbacks are set to send the No.7 market into overdrive.

It’s not often a representative playmaker becomes available to rival clubs, given teams try to lock them down with contract extensions well before rivals are permitted to come knocking.

But it seems there could be a number of the game’s best playmakers up for grabs when the November 1 contract reset rolls around.

Sam Walker shocked the Roosters this week by delaying a decision on a four-year extension reportedly worth $5 million.

At the same time, Nathan Cleary is in no rush to recommit to the Panthers and looks likely to become a free agent come the end of October.

Sam Walker’s $5m knockback and contract leaks a sign of times in NRL’s wild player market

Trent Robinson is at ease with Sam Walker knocking back a five-year, $5 million-plus Roosters contract extension and the tax-free PNG Chiefs poaching threat, but he chipped his star halfback’s management for playing out talks in public.

Walker and the Roosters have agreed to pause negotiations on a long-term extension until after the season, with the Queensland Origin No.7 backing himself to deliver a 2026 title and justify an upgraded offer in the process.

Robinson’s pre-game press conference ahead of Thursday’s top-of-the-table clash against Penrith was waylaid by a News Corp report that Walker’s camp was underwhelmed by the Tricolours’ latest extension offer on Tuesday.

Breaking: Third Sydney Airport take-off incident investigated by safety body

An air traffic control mix-up has contributed to a third runway take-off incident at Sydney Airport in as many weeks. (ABC News)

Safety authorities are investigating a third runway incident at Sydney Airport that involved a Qantas flight crossing the path of a departing Virgin Australia aircraft.

The incident followed a Jetstar flight slamming on its brakes during take-off to avoid colliding with a Qatar Airways plane being towed on the tarmac.

The ATSB said it would conduct interviews with Virgin and Qantas crew involved and review recorded flight data.

Virgin plane aborts take-off as Qantas plane crosses Sydney runway

Investigators are probing the third safety incident at Sydney Airport in less than three weeks after a Virgin plane was forced to abort take-off when it discovered a Qantas plane on its runway.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau said it is investigating a runway incursion and rejected take-off of Virgin Australia flight VA555 from Sydney to Perth and Qantas flight QF728 from Sydney to Ayers Rock Airport.

The incident, which occurred shortly after 10am on August 9, involved two Boeing 737s. Air traffic control cleared the Virgin Australia 737 “for a full-length take-off” on runway 34L, the ATSB said.

“As the crew applied thrust for take-off, they observed the Qantas 737 begin to cross the runway ahead of them from taxiway Lima.”

Cody Ramsey addresses his future with the Roosters

Cody Ramsey doesn't want to go anywhere, and he has made that abundantly clear.

Ramsey was composed in the Roosters' 20-18 win over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, stepping in for James Tedesco, who picked up an ankle injury in the 82-12 win over the North Queensland Cowboys.

The 26-year-old is with the Roosters until the end of the 2027 season, and despite being free to talk to rival clubs from November 1, explained he would be "crazy" to want to leave the club

"They've looked after me so much. They gave me this opportunity," Ramsey told ESPN.

"I'd be crazy if I wanted to go. The way that the club looks after you, the way that Robbo treats you, and when you walk in those doors, it's just the care and love that this club gives you.

Ebola outbreak on track to be deadliest ever, WHO chief says

The current outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo is on track to surpass the deadliest outbreak of the disease ever, the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) has said.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told reporters that the 2026 outbreak, "at its current pace", would "eclipse" that of the 2014-2016 occurrence, which killed at least 11,000 people.

The outbreak this year, declared on 15 May, has seen at least 4,300 cases and caused more than 2,000 deaths.

The WHO said on Wednesday it hoped to reverse the spread of the disease within three months but warned that this meant bringing transmission under control – not ending the outbreak entirely.

DR Congo Ebola outbreak set to become deadliest on record, WHO warns

Outbreak to eclipse West Africa’s Ebola outbreak of 2014 to 2016 if it continues at current pace, WHO chief says.

The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo) is spreading faster than health authorities can contain it and is on track to become the deadliest on record, according to the World Health Organization.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Wednesday that at its current pace, the outbreak is on track to eclipse the West African Ebola outbreak of 2014 to 2016, a crisis that killed more than 11,000 people and accelerated the push to develop a vaccine.

The outbreak in eastern DR Congo has killed more than 2,000 people out of more than 4,300 recorded cases, making it the fastest-moving Ebola outbreak on record. It was formally declared on May 15, though genetic sequencing later revealed the virus had actually begun circulating in February.

Over 2,500 Organizations Impacted by LiteLLM Supply Chain Attack

LiteLLM was compromised through the Trivy hack and abused to distribute information-stealing malware to its users.

More than 2,500 organizations and over 430,000 CI/CD pipelines were affected by the LiteLLM supply chain attack earlier this year, CloudSEK reports.

The LiteLLM compromise was disclosed shortly after the supply chain attack on Aqua Security’s Trivy open source vulnerability scanner and was a direct result of it.

According to CloudSEK, TeamPCP, the threat actor behind multiple high-profile open source software (OSS) compromises, never targeted LiteLLM directly.

The open source Python library and proxy server was compromised after its CI pipeline installed the compromised Trivy version automatically. Two LiteLLM versions, namely 1.82.7 and 1.82.8, were pushed to PyPI, providing the hackers with access to all the information LiteLLM touched.

Malicious LiteLLM Releases Tied to Trivy Hack May Have Exposed 2,100+ Organizations

Two malicious LiteLLM releases sat on PyPI for about 40 minutes in March carrying credential-stealing code capable of harvesting cloud keys, SSH keys, Kubernetes tokens, database passwords, and other secrets from systems that installed them.

Threat intelligence firm CloudSEK now says a dataset it obtained, built from roughly 434,000 files the attackers captured, maps potential exposure to more than 2,500 organizations.

Those totals are not a victim count. CloudSEK told The Hacker News the material came from confidential intelligence sources and consists of captured loot and log files it assessed as belonging to the campaign, not data gathered from the organizations it names. The files were taken, in other words.

CloudSEK Links March LiteLLM Supply Chain Breach to 2,500 Organizations

Threat-intelligence firm CloudSEK said in a report published August 11, 2026 that it has identified more than 2,500 organizations potentially exposed by the March 2026 supply-chain compromise of LiteLLM, the open-source gateway developers use to route requests across AI models, and reconstructed roughly 434,000 CI/CD pipelines touched by the exposure.

The figures come from a CloudSEK research report built on a victim dataset the company says its threat-intelligence team obtained covering the March campaign. CloudSEK’s dataset carries high-confidence matches tied to corporate domains, repositories, credentials, or infrastructure belonging to organizations including NVIDIA, Samsung Electronics, Cisco Systems, Siemens, S&P Global, ServiceNow, Deloitte, Vodafone, X Corp, Zscaler, FedEx, Volkswagen, Thales, and London Stock Exchange Group. The firm is explicit about what the matches mean: high confidence describes the strength of evidence linking exposed information to an organization, not proof that the organization was breached or that an attacker used what was taken.

Murray Taulagi's Sydney Roosters move is off with the Queensland State of Origin winger instead poised to make a code switch to French rugby.

Taulagi had widely been expected to join the Roosters next year after it became apparent he would not remain at North Queensland in 2027.

However it's understood a medical with the Roosters was pushed back through Origin, and AAP has been told the 27-year-old will instead act on overseas interest.

Cowboys star set to snub Roosters, link up with rival code

North Queensland Cowboys and Queensland Maroons State of Origin winger Murray Taulagi is set to link up with rugby union in the South of France.

The winger is off-contract at the end of this year and had an offer on the table from North Queensland, but it was withdrawn after the process dragged out.

Taulagi was then set to join the Sydney Roosters, with the club making an offer to add to their backline depth.

He has now made the decision to pursue the rival code, according to reports revealed by News Corp.

The Roosters have lost several outside backs in recent years, with the club losing Joseph Manu, Joseph Suaalii and Mark Nawaqanitawase (at the end of this year) to rugby union.

Cowboys star Murray Taulagi set to quit NRL in shock switch

North Queensland Cowboys outside back Murray Taulagi is set to leave the NRL at the end of the season, with the Queensland representative understood to have agreed to a lucrative move to French rugby according to CODE Sports.

Taulagi is expected to join a Top 14 club on a multi-year contract, with the deal potentially running for three seasons as he begins the next chapter of his career.

The 27-year-old had previously been in discussions with the Sydney Roosters after deciding against extending his stay in North Queensland, but has instead opted to make the switch to rugby union.

Taulagi has long had a strong connection to rugby union, having been a standout schoolboy player in the 15-man code before ultimately being recruited by the Cowboys.
