The OKC Thunder will host the Phoenix Suns at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the NBA Cup quarterfinals.

OKC (23-1) earned a 131-101 road win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday. The Thunder is on a 15-game winning streak, which is tied for a franchise record.

Phoenix (14-10) escaped with a 108-105 road win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday. The Suns fell to the Thunder in NBA Cup group play by a score of 123-119.

Here's everything you need to know about Wednesday's game between the Thunder and Suns:

Phoenix is a tough team that won't beat itself, but OKC doesn't need it to. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, one of the league's most unguardable scorers, is available after a one-game absence due to left elbow bursitis. So are two elite defenders in Alex Caruso and Lu Dort, who'll make life difficult for Devin Booker. And even Jalen Williams is back after he didn't suit up for the group play meeting between these two teams. The Thunder is simply too stacked on both ends of the floor, and it'll book its ticket to the semifinals with a win on Wednesday.

Three of the top five teams in the Western Conference are in the NBA Cup Quarterfinals, making for an exciting slate on Dec. 10:

Phoenix is set as a massive underdog against the Thunder, who have lost just one game in the 2025-26 season. The Suns did lose by just four points against OKC earlier this season, and they could get Devin Booker (questionable) back on Wednesday night as he deals with a groin injury.

The Lakers and Spurs also played once this season, with L.A. winning by two at home. Victor Wembanayama (calf) remains out of the lineup in this matchup, although he appears to be closer to a return after practicing on Sunday.

'Inappropriate relationship' with staffer sees $5.5m-a-year coach sacked

Michigan has fired its football coach Sherrone Moore after finding evidence of an "inappropriate relationship with a staff member".

The sacking comes just two seasons into a five-year contract with a base salary of $US5.5 million per year.

Biff Poggi will serve as Michigan's interim coach. The 18th-ranked Wolverines (9-3, 7-2 Big Ten) are set to face 14th-ranked Texas on December 31 in the Citrus Bowl.

Michigan has fired football coach Sherrone Moore behaviour after finding evidence of an "inappropriate relationship with a staff member".

Ex-UM coach Moore detained by police after firing

Sherrone Moore was detained by police in Saline, Michigan, on Wednesday and was later turned over to a second area police department for investigation into potential charges, the Saline Police Department stated.

"The City of Saline Police Department assisted in locating and detaining former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore," the department said in a statement released to ESPN. "Mr. Moore was turned over to the Pittsfield Township Police Department for investigation into potential charges."

The University of Michigan fired Moore as its head football coach earlier Wednesday following an investigation into Moore's conduct with a staff member.

"U-M head football coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with cause, effective immediately," the school said in a statement. "Following a University investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

Throughout the 2025 season, rumors circulated that Michigan coach Sherrone Moore was in danger of losing his job. No credible details surfaced and Moore continued his duties, completing the regular season at 9-3 and participating in a news conference Monday to discuss Michigan's upcoming game against Texas in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl.

Two days later, the news came down: Michigan fired Moore for cause, after finding that the coach engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. The dismissal marked a very troubling end to Moore's tenure at Michigan, which began in 2018 when he joined coach Jim Harbaugh's staff as tight ends coach. He then became offensive line coach and oversaw a group that won the Joe Moore Award.

Millions of disgruntled concertgoers likely to sue Ticketmaster

LOS ANGELES (CN) — Millions of people who bought concert tickets through Ticketmaster are inching closer to proceeding as a class on claims that Live Nation Entertainment and its Ticketmaster subsidiary used their monopoly power to inflate ticket prices.

U.S. District Judge George Wu took the consumer’s motion for class certification under submission at a hearing Thursday in Los Angeles federal court.

Although the judge’s tentative decision wasn’t made publicly available, the tenor of the arguments before him indicated that he was likely to grant the motion.

To be able to proceed as a class will give the plaintiffs more leverage to try to negotiate a significant settlement because Live Nation could potentially face billions of dollars in damages if the case goes before a jury. Under federal antitrust law, plaintiffs are entitled to treble their actual damages if they prevail.

The consumer lawsuit, initiated in January 2022, seeks monetary compensation on behalf of a vast number of ticket buyers, both original and resale. The plaintiffs argue that Live Nation and Ticketmaster have established a dominant position within the ticketing market, which has led to inflated prices for consumers. The court previously acknowledged that the allegations of monopolistic practices hold merit, with the plaintiffs specifically asserting that Ticketmaster commands approximately 60% of a particular submarket within the industry.

Judge signals he’ll let Ticketmaster customers proceed as class in Live Nation antitrust lawsuit

A federal judge in California signaled he’s likely to allow millions of Ticketmaster customers to proceed as a class in an antitrust lawsuit accusing Live Nation Entertainment and its subsidiary of using monopoly power to boost ticket prices.

US District Judge George Wu took the motion for class certification under submission on Thursday (December 4) following a hearing.

Plaintiffs led by Skot Heckman, a Ticketmaster customer, sued the ticketing giant in January 2022 for allegedly engaging in secondary ticketing market manipulation, anti-competitive practices and consumer harm.

In the 2022 lawsuit, which you can read here, Live Nation and Ticketmaster were accused of secretly providing primary tickets to brokers through “ticket banks,” while publicly claiming to fight scalpers.

On the most eagerly anticipated day of the education calendar, more than 15,300 students will receive at least one VCE study score of 40 or higher and 664 students will secure at least one maximum study score of 50, another record.
