Revealed: Terms of Real Madrid's record-breaking Michael Olise bid – with raid on Bayern Munich for French winger set to eclipse Neymar’s historic €222m transfer

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a sensational, world-record transfer bid for Bayern Munich star Michael Olise as Florentino Perez looks to assemble a new generation of Galacticos. The proposed deal would see the Spanish giants shatter the existing transfer record currently held by Paris Saint-Germain.

In a move that would send shockwaves through the global football market, Real Madrid are allegedly readying a package for Olise that totals an incredible €223 million (£192m/$255m). According to a report from SPORT, the proposal consists of a fixed fee of €190m (£164m/$217m) complemented by €33m (£28m/$38m) in performance-related variables.

This staggering sum would surpass the €222 million PSG paid Barcelona for Neymar in 2017, making the Frenchman the most expensive player in history. The deal represents a significant escalation in Perez's transfer strategy.

People have been warned not to swim in the Flinders River near Richmond after reports of a suspected saltwater crocodile sighting.

Richmond Shire Mayor John Wharton believes a saltwater crocodile is responsible for taking a dog at Bottom Crossing, 660 kilometres from where the species is commonly found.

The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation is investigating the report.

A suspected saltwater crocodile has been reported hundreds of kilometres upstream from its usual habitat after a dog was taken near Richmond, in what experts say would be a rare inland sighting if confirmed.

Rare crocodile attack triggers warning for Aussie town: 'Never seen here before'

Residents of a remote Central Queensland town are being warned to stay away from the local river, after a dog was taken by a crocodile.

It's believed to be the first saltwater crocodile sighting in the town of Richmond, located about 500km inland from Townsville.

Richmond Shire Mayor John Wharton said a "young girl" and her dog were down near the Flinders River on Monday night "chasing some pigs around" when the attack happened.

"The dog's got the pig in the water, and suddenly, there was a huge noise and splash, and the dog was screaming, and it was all over," he told ABC North West Breakfast host Zara Margolis.

Boat tours and recreation water-based activities such as swimming and diving will be temporarily banned in the cuttlefish sanctuary zone off waters near Whyalla.

The South Australian government says the 90-day exclusion zone is needed to minimise the impact on cuttlefish, which have turned up in low numbers this year.

Impacted cuttlefish tour operators will be able to apply for financial assistance from the government.

A temporary ban on in-water recreational activities begins in South Australia's Upper Spencer Gulf tomorrow in a bid by the state government to protect the breeding site of giant Australian cuttlefish which have arrived in "significantly low" numbers this year.

Incredible discovery under glass-bottom boat sparks hope for Aussie attraction

There's hope across a South Australian coastal town after holidaymakers cancelled their trips when a natural annual event didn't occur as expected this winter.

Every June, between 75,000 and 150,000 brightly coloured giant cuttlefish assemble to mate in one place — the shallows of Whyalla, in South Australia's Spencer Gulf.

Their bright displays and huge numbers attract thousands of people, bringing in close to $10 million for the town's Cuttlefest festival alone.

But so far, only a few dozen have been documented, possibly due to the toxic algal bloom that has killed upwards of 90,000 marine creatures, from 390 species.

Over the weekend, local tour guide Steve Storic saw something through his boat's glass bottom that has left him "super excited".

Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham join forces with another showbiz family dynasty after high-profile wedding

Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham‘s family dynasty is even bigger after the actress’ brother Will married Kenya Kinski-Jones, daughter of legendary music producer the late Quincy Jones.

The nuptials of Will, 40, and Kenya, 33, marked the third marriage celebration for the Peltz clan following Nicola and Brooklyn’s wedding in 2022 and their subsequent vow renewal without the Beckhams in 2025.

No expense was spared for Will and Kenya’s lavish wedding which was held at the Peltz family home in New York.

Will’s father Nelson Peltz, famous American billionaire businessman, and mum Claudia Peltz played big roles in the day.

“It really was the perfect moment. Not only was I at the home where I grew up and that I’d made so many memories in, but I was with my people, my everything. My father was my best man, and my mother was Kenya’s matron of honour,” Will told Vogue.

Inside Will Peltz and Kenya Kinski-Jones’s Wedding at the Groom’s Childhood Home in Westchester County

Model Kenya Kinski-Jones and actor Will Peltz met on the set of the independent film Sugar in Santa Monica in 2011. Will was working on the project, while Kenya was visiting her mother. Shortly after, Will asked Kenya out for a date night at the Santa Monica Pier. They ended up sharing their first kiss on the beach that night—and have been inseparable ever since.

Nearly 14 years later, Kenya was getting ready for what she thought was a night out in Manhattan when Will completely threw her for a loop. After days of planning, he had set up flowers, lights, and photographs of their loved ones in his family’s backyard despite the fact that it was overcast. There, he pulled Kenya aside under an umbrella to propose. After she said yes, they moved inside the house, where close family and friends had gathered to surprise them.
