    Arsenal star sparks melee by shoving Liverpool ace before he's carried off injured

    Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli sparked a brawl at the Emirates Stadium after shoving an injured Conor Bradley, who suffered a worrying injury and was stretchered off.

    Legendary British singer-songwriter Elton John has entered the drinks category with the launch of a 0% ‘blanc de blancs’ bearing his name – and db is the first to learn about it.

    Called Elton John Zero Blanc de Blancs – a reference to the drink’s pure Chardonnay base, and its position as an alcohol-free alternative to Champagne – the product is launching now in the UK with a shelf presence at Sainsbury’s, priced at £10.

    Made using grapes from northern Italy sourced by Liberty Wines co-founder David Gleave MW, it is crafted in Germany – which has become the home for high-quality no-alcohol wine.

    Elton John launches non-alcoholic sparkling wine, Elton John Zero

    The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and his husband, David Furnish, have launched Elton John Zero, described on social media as a “meticulously crafted 0% alcohol and 100% delightful Blanc de Blancs.”

    Powerball winning numbers drawn for Wednesday, Jan. 7, after delay

    The Powerball drawing for Wednesday, Jan. 7 was held after a 30-minute delay due to an issue.

    "As soon as we are able to resolve the issue and conduct the drawing, it will available for viewing on Powerball.com and our YouTube channel," Laura Johnson told viewers at the 10:59 p.m. drawing time.

    The Powerball lottery jackpot was an estimated $105 million for the Wednesday, Jan. 7 drawing with a cash option of $47.4 million, according to the Powerball website. 

    The jackpot was last won on Dec. 24 when a lottery player in Arkansas won a $1.817 billion jackpot – the second largest ever.

    Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot is at $199 million with a cash option of $90.5 million, according to the Mega Millions website. 

    Powerball numbers for Wednesday, January 7, 2025: No jackpot winner

    The Powerball winning numbers are in for the Wednesday, Jan. 7 drawing with a jackpot that reached an estimated $104 million ($47.4 million cash value).

    The largest winning Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Michigan was worth $842.4 million and sold in January 2024 at Food Castle in Grand Blanc.

    The winning numbers from the Wednesday, Jan. 7 drawing are 15, 28, 57, 58 and 63. The Powerball was 23. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.

    No one won the Powerball jackpot. A ticket sold in Delaware matched the five white balls and a 2x Power Play increased the prize to $2 million.

    The next Powerball drawing is Saturday, Jan. 10. Drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

    The Powerball jackpot is growing to an estimated $124 million, with a cash value of $56 million for the Saturday, Jan. 10, drawing.

    No one took home the top prize of $104 million for the Wednesday, Jan. 7, Powerball drawing.

    The winning numbers in the Jan. 7 drawing were 15, 28, 57, 58, 63 and the Powerball was 23. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.

    One ticket sold in Delaware matched all five white balls and had the Power Play for a $2 million prize.

The movie is directed by Baltasar Kormákur (2 Guns, Everest) and stars Charlize Theron, Taron Egerton and Eric Bana. The thriller follows a woman testing her limits in the Australian wilderness who is suddenly ensnared in a deadly game with a ruthless predator. Jeremy Robbins wrote the screenplay. Kormákur is also producing the project for RVK Studios, alongside Theron, Beth Kono & A.J. Dix (The Old Guard, Bombshell) for Secret Menu, Peter Chernin (Rise/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Hidden Figures), Jenno Topping (Ford v Ferrari, The Greatest Showman) & David Ready (Red Sparrow, Fear Street) for Chernin Entertainment, as well as Ian Bryce (Spider-Man, Saving Private Ryan) for Ian Bryce Productions. The sale, valued at HK$1.32 billion, has prompted market reaction but no shift in long-term shareholder alignment, according to Cathay’s management.

Cathay Group CEO Ronald Lam said the airline continues to regard Air China as a core strategic shareholder despite the reduction in equity.

    Cathay Pacific: Plans to Conduct Off-Market Share Repurchase

    Gelonghui, January 6 | In an announcement on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on the morning of January 6, Cathay Pacific Airways proposed to conduct an off-market share repurchase. As of January 5, 2026 (after trading hours): Air China has informed the company that it has entered into a share placement agreement to sell 108,080,000 shares, and the sale is expected to be completed prior to the convening of an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders; Air China and the company have also signed an amended and restated deed to revise and restate the irrevocable commitment previously signed by Air China in favor of the company, reflecting Air China’s shareholding after the completion of the sale. Upon the completion of the sale and the share repurchase, assuming no other changes to the issued shares of the company, (i) Swire Group’s shareholding will increase from approximately 43.09% as of the date of this announcement to approximately 47.65%; and (ii) Air China’s shareholding will increase from approximately 27.11% (the shareholding percentage after the completion of the sale) to approximately 29.98%.
