Marvin Vettori: ‘I look like sh*t’ during losing streak ahead of UFC 332

The one-time UFC middleweight title challenger fights Ismail Naurdiev on Saturday at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City with the goal of snapping a career-worst four-fight losing streak. Vettori has not scored a win since defeating Roman Dolidze in March 2023, and solving his in-cage woes has meant reviewing his recent performances, something he is loathe to do.

“I cannot watch myself,” Vettori told MMA Fighting’s José Youngs. “I look like shit. I was so f*cking pissed, I cannot watch it. It’s funny, also my last fight I pulled out for the same opponent because I broke my rib, and one of the guys that was there to help me, he forced me to watch my last fight. I struggled so bad to watch until the end because I’m looking shit, I’m so f*cking bad. I couldn’t throw a cross without falling down. I was stiff. It was not myself at all. I was timid, I looked like shit. I see like, my last last four fights—leave the [Jared] Cannonier alone because it’s alright, he had a good game plan and he kind of surprised me—but then the last three fights, I feel like I handed out wins to my opponents, really.

Marvin Vettori is on the ropes as he looks to end a horrid four-fight losing streak in a matchup with Ismail Naurdiev later tonight (Sat., Oct. 3, 2026) at UFC 332 LIVE on Paramount+/CBS in Salt Lake City, Utah, but at least “Italian Dream” will have the support of a former rival.

Vettori, who turned 33 last month, has not tasted victory inside of the Octagon since early 2023. Two of those contests were Fight of the Night winners, but things have not gone well for Vettori. What compounds Vettori’s struggles is the fact that he lost his brother in a tragic fire in 2025.

"It was like a Hollywood movie," shocked next door neighbour Karthik Selvadorai said.

Jacob Hayden, 26, was under guard at Shellharbour Hospital on September 17 about 3.15pm when he allegedly fled from police custody.

It allegedly triggered a manhunt that involved police ground crews, the dog unit and PolAir.

Residents of Blackbutt, Barrack Heights, Oak Flats, Warilla and Lake Illawarra may have seen the Cessna aircraft circling overhead in the search for Hayden.

Man climbs into hospital ceiling in bid to escape police custody

A man has been charged after allegedly attempting to escape police custody by climbing into the ceiling of the Austin Hospital.

Police negotiated with the 21-year-old man for several hours before taking him back into custody.

An alleged thief attempted to escape police guard at a Melbourne hospital by climbing through the ceiling.

Victoria Police said the 21-year-old man had been charged and remanded following an alleged theft in Preston.

He was taken to the Austin Hospital in Heidelberg yesterday after reporting a medical episode.

Police said the Carrum Downs man escaped custody at the hospital and climbed through a false ceiling about 10:30pm.

A squabble ensues, the guard is perplexed and infuriated but we flash back to how Riviera became a spy a few weeks previously.

Vinicius Junior went to a specialist medical clinic in the Brazilian city of Goiânia, where renowned dermatologist and cosmetic doctor Dr Alessandro Alarcão shaped and defined the chin using modern techniques.

The 26-year-old was a bright spark in what was a disappointing World Cup in North America for the Seleccao.
