Black Stars coach Otto Addo spoke with a mix of pride and cautious optimism about his team’s prospects. We have a team that, on bad days, we can struggle, but on good days, we can beat everyone,” Addo said.

Reflecting on the team’s performance at the last World Cup, he pointed to their near-upset of Portugal and their victory over South Korea as evidence of the squad’s potential. “We showed at the last World Cup, at least also that we were close to beating Portugal, we beat South Korea, so I think we have a competitive team and we’re looking forward also to make the next step,” he added.
