'Avengers: Doomsday' Art: First Look at Doctor Doom Mask, X-Men

The first clear look at Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom mask has arrived, courtesy of some concept art posted by a Marvel Cinematic Universe icon.

Former Marvel visual department director Andy Park took to X on July 11 to share an illustration from the upcoming blockbuster.

“AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY – the final full film I had the honor of leading as Director of Visual Development at Marvel Studios,” he wrote on the social media platform. “This illustration commemorates that journey & reveals the characters & their looks for the first time. #AvengersDoomsday.”

See the image below, which also includes the first looks at some returning X-Men such as Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming), Beast (Kelsey Grammer) and Mystique (Rebecca Romijn), who had also not been seen in promotional material. There’s also a mysterious image of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) at the center of the art.

The First Official ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cast Photo Is A Nightmare

While we still have not seen anything close to a full-scale trailer for this winter’s Avengers: Doomsday, promotion is starting to trickle out. This week, that included the first official cast art for the film, featuring nearly all the major characters in this new Avengers assembly. Or rather, a number of Avenger-ish groups stuck together.

It’s awful. The art is awful, to start with, but even though we knew who was in the cast, seeing them in one place compared to the last four Avengers movies in the “good old days” of the MCU is pretty brutal. It’s hard to even know where to start here, but there are issues with almost every aspect of this.

Freese forced to make diving save in opening moments against Belgium

Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana exited Monday’s FIFA World Cup Round of 16 match against the U.S. in the opening half with an apparent knee injury.

Onana went down after attempting to play a ball in the 18th minute. He kicked out with his right leg and landed awkwardly as he fell, immediately grabbing at his right knee while on the ground.

Onana was slow to get to his feet and gingerly limped off the pitch. His teammates comforted him as he exited the playing field. Hans Vanaken replaced Onana in the 21st minute.

Amadou Onana injury update: Belgium midfielder's World Cup may be over

SEATTLE — Belgium lost Amadou Onana early to a leg injury in its 4-1 win in the round of 16 against the United States and the midfielder was on crutches after the game.

Coach Rudi Garcia told reporters that the injury may end the midfielder's World Cup.

Onana was challenging for the ball with USMNT star Christian Pulisic when they collided, and Onana immediately went down to the ground, holding his right knee as the Belgian staff was called onto the field to assist.

Onana did get up on his own as he made his way toward the bench, limping to rest if he could still continue. Ultimately, Belgium made a substitution, taking out Onana for Hans Vanaken in the 21st minute.

Messi is old, short and slow. How is he still dominating at the World Cup?

Lionel Messi is 39 years old. He is 1.70 metres tall – shorter than almost every defender he plays against. He was never astoundingly quick, and he is slower now.

And yet, watching this World Cup, you would be hard pressed to name a player doing more damage: he has scored the equal most goals so far (six), alongside France’s Kylian Mbappé.

How can someone with so little of what we might call athleticism (relative to his peers, at least) still be the best player on the pitch?

Maybe the puzzle is the wrong way round. Many are surprised by Messi only because we have been told a story about what makes an athlete great, and the story is mostly about the body: speed, height, strength, fitness.

Lionel Messi & Argentina: Can they hit more World Cup heights?

Lionel Messi's record-breaking form led Argentina to a perfect Group J campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Now it's on to the knockout stages for the defending champions, beginning with Friday's Round of 32 showdown against Cape Verde (6 pm ET | FOX, Telemundo, Peacock).

Messi and Co. will take on the Blue Sharks at Miami Stadium – located some 20 miles north of the legendary No. 10 and Inter Miami CF teammate Rodrigo De Paul's club home of Nu Stadium.

The stage is set for Messi, De Paul and La Albiceleste to continue their run at back-to-back World Cup titles.

Here's what they've achieved so far this summer, and what awaits them next.

    The Evolution of Messi

The day that Lionel Messi made his World Cup début, on June 16, 2006, I was in elementary school. I had never set foot in Argentina, and I didn’t speak a word of Spanish. The game was against a then unified Serbia and Montenegro. Argentina wore dark blue. I knew very little about the country that my grandparents had left behind, in 1964, for the United States—only that on that day, at home in the New York suburbs, I somehow belonged to it.

Messi’s first World Cup was my first World Cup—not the first one I had lived through but the first one that I remember. He was almost nineteen (the number he wore on his back), and I was nine. I like to tell people the story of how, a few months earlier, my dad had gone up onto the roof of our house in Pelham and dismantled our old TV antenna, installing in its place a cable package of Spanish-language channels, so that we could hear announcers marvel at Barcelona’s teen-age phenom in his native tongue. But nothing could have prepared us for Messi’s greatness. Against Serbia and Montenegro, in the group stage, Messi came on as a sub in the seventy-fourth minute, with Argentina up 3–0. The press had already anointed him the heir apparent to Diego Maradona; an emotional Maradona was filmed in the stands, with his arms in the air, as Messi entered the game. Ten minutes later, Messi assisted Carlos Tévez on a fifth goal, and then he scored the sixth himself. He played in each of the next two games in the tournament—a goalless draw against the Netherlands and an overtime win against Mexico in the round of sixteen—only to be left on the bench by then coach José Pékerman in Argentina’s quarterfinal loss against Germany. Pékerman’s decision is now considered by some to have been a historic mistake, and, for the next twenty years, Messi played every minute of every Argentina World Cup game, until this summer.

Look up Monday evening for the full strawberry moon

Look to the southeastern sky Monday evening and you’ll see June’s full moon rising just after sunset. Astronomically, the Moon reaches its full phase at 7:56 p.m. on June 29, but it will appear full throughout the night.

The June full moon is also known as the strawberry moon, but don't expect a pink or red Moon. However, if you catch it just as it rises above the horizon Monday evening, it may appear yellow, orange, or even a subtle pinkish tint as the light passes through a much thicker layer of Earth’s atmosphere.

Tiny particulates and water molecules in the air scatter shorter blue wavelengths of light, a phenomenon known as Rayleigh scattering, allowing more of the longer red and orange wavelengths to reach our eyes.

June 2026 full Moon: How and when to see the Strawberry Moon rise in the UK

In summer, full Moons appear low in the sky in the UK and can have an orange hue due to atmospheric conditions

The Strawberry Moon is set to rise in UK skies tonight, marking the first full Moon of the summer season.

It will reach its peak in the early hours of Tuesday, 30 June, according to the Royal Observatory Greenwich.

But for skygazers hoping to catch a glimpse at a more reasonable hour, it will appear full in the nighttime sky on Monday, 29 June and the following evening.

In the northern hemisphere, June's full Moon is different from others in the calendar year as it is the lowest-hanging in the sky.

ON A run under interim coach Josh Fraser, Carlton will be eyeing a sixth straight win when it hosts West Coast at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.

Carlton (6-8) has given a season that looked all but over a huge jolt with five wins in as many matches since interim coach Josh Fraser took the reins.

The Blues have only conceded an average 67 points during their stunning return to form and can now aim to level their win-loss record and perhaps even push into the wildcard places with the Eagles and Tigers to come next.

West Coast (4-10) returns from a bye with reason to believe that it is heading in the right direction after a win over Essendon and three narrow defeats in the previous month.

Epic Games Unveils Next-Generation 'Unreal Engine 6'

Epic Games has officially unveiled its next-generation game engine, Unreal Engine 6 (UE6). It is the successor to Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), which was officially released in 2022.

Unexpectedly, the reveal took place not at a developer conference, but at an esports event. During the 'Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2026 Paris Major' on the 24th, Epic Games used the intermission to debut a teaser video for UE6, marking its first official confirmation. While this was the first time the engine was showcased using an actual partner game, no technical specifications or release dates were provided. The teaser focused solely on demonstrating a visual leap forward.

Roos look to bounce back in Suns clash. LIVE from 1.15pm AEST

GEELONG has made a late change for its huge clash against Sydney at GMHBA Stadium.

Tanner Bruhn has been replaced in the Cats' 23 by Jake Kolodjashnij.

Geelong (7-3) made a statement as it put the side that thumped it in the Grand Final last year to the sword for a dominant victory over Brisbane on the reigning premiers' home turf.

The Cats now have an opportunity to show that they are again among the leading contenders as they host the Swans at their own fortress just as cracks have started to appear for the ladder leaders.

Sydney (9-1) pulled off a heist against Collingwood as it gave up a headstart and only took command of the game when its injury-plagued opponents were undersized and undermanned.

AFL Saturday LIVE: Suns charging towards eye-catching win; Countdown on for Pendlebury’s 433rd match

There’s the siren for three-quarter-time at Marvel Stadium. The four points are still up for grabs. An impressive quarter by North, who refused to throw in the towel.

Big, big goal. The match is racing to the 3QT break and Cooper Trembath has stepped up with a big goal, cutting the margin to 20 points. With this sort of points difference at the final break, it will be very much “game on” in a massive final stanza at Marvel Stadium.

Three goals for the North Melbourne big man. The quarter has ticked over into time-on. But with the margin hovering around the four-goal mark, it’s very much Advantage Gold Coast. The Kangas desperately need to string some goals together.

Unwilling to "jump at shadows" and swing the axe after a humiliating loss to Adelaide, coach Alastair Clarkson has challenged North Melbourne to respond against Gold Coast.

Clarkson would have been justified in making a selection statement after the Kangaroos were blitzed by the Crows, trailing by as much as 88 points before losing by 68 last Saturday.

But only Tom Blamires was dropped for Riley Hardeman, with North (4-6) otherwise sticking fat for Saturday's game at Marvel Stadium.

Lucille Is Officially Back in First Look at ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Season 3 [Exclusive]

The Walking Dead has proven itself to be the franchise that just won’t die — and fans wouldn’t have it any other way. In November 2022, the original series trotted past the finish line after an incredibly successful 11-season run. In cases like these, it’s always hard for audiences to say goodbye, but their break from the zombie-ridden universe was a short one, thanks to the announcement of several offshoots. Following the success of its three initial spin-offs, The Walking Dead continued to branch out after the final nail closed the coffin on the original series, which gave fan-favorite characters a chance to continue their storylines in new, exciting, and unforeseen places.

The Walking Dead’s Longest Beef Is Finally Coming to an End

Maggie Rhee has been trying and failing to get her revenge on Negan Smith for a long time on The Walking Dead, but it seems that the upcoming third season of Dead City will finally see the pair properly bury the hatchet over the brutal, iconic murder of her husband Glenn.

In a new interview with EW, Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who continue to play Maggie and Negan in AMC’s popular Walking Dead spinoff, have confirmed that the duo’s beef is about to come to an end. Though the first two seasons of the show saw an uneasy alliance form between them, the anger that has consumed Maggie since Negan needlessly killed Glenn has often boiled over into mistrust and violence against her baseball bat-wielding nemesis. Now, the creators of Dead City have sensed that it’s time for Maggie to put the past behind her.

THE WALKING DEAD: DEAD CITY Drops Ominous Season 3 Teaser Trailer

Although The Walking Dead flagship series has been over for a few years now, the franchise shows no signs of slowing down, with two spin-offs currently in production. One of those, The Walking Dead: Dead City, focuses on characters Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan), as they venture into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan together, despite Maggie’s hatred of Negan for murdering her husband, Glenn, years prior. AMC is set to premiere the third season this July, and now, we have our first trailer. You can watch the intense teaser trailer for season three of The Walking Dead: Dead City right here:
