UFC Vegas 113 prospect to watch: Daniil Donchenko

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to “Sin City” this weekend (Sat., Feb. 7, 2026) for its first Paramount+ “Fight Night”-themed event, UFC Vegas 113, which goes down inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, two ranked Bantamweights collide as Mario Bautista (No. 9) takes on Vinicius Oliveira (No. 11).

While the lineup is filled with intriguing matchups and rising talent, there is one prospect in particular you absolutely cannot afford to ignore.

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Season 33 winner, Daniil Donchenko, makes his official Octagon debut this weekend after winning the reality show back in Sept. 2025 with a devastating first round knockout of Rodrigo Sezinando (watch highlights).

Prediction, pick for Alex Morono vs. Daniil Donchenko

Ryan Wohl gives his best bet for Alex Morono vs. Daniil Donchenko at tonight’s UFC Fight Night.

The final fight of tonight’s UFC Fight Night Prelims is a Welterweight bout between Alex Morono and Daniil Donchenko. Moreno is a 10-year UFC veteran and is 13-9 in the promotion. Meanwhile, Donchenko has a 13-2 record with 11 finishes at 24 years old. Donchenko knocked out Rodrigo Sezinando in the first round at Noche UFC in September 2025.

Check out my best bet for Alex Morono vs. Daniil Donchenko at tonight’s UFC Fight Night.

Donchenko has won six consecutive fights, with his last loss coming in October 2023. Throughout his career, Donchenko has been a finishing machine with 11 of his 13 wins being by knockout or submission. But now the promising prospect faces a long-time veteran in Morono. Morono has suffered three straight losses and is 2-5 in his last seven contests, and hasn’t won a fight since April 2024.

    Klaudia Sygula | Leveling Up

With two fights under her belt, Klaudia Sygula now feels at home in the Octagon. And the Polish bantamweight has made big changes in a bid to ignite her rise up the women's 135-pound division.

Sygula's UFC career got off to an inauspicious start in November 2024 when she was defeated by Melissa Mullins at the then-UFC APEX. But the following summer, she returned to the Octagon in Baku, Azerbaijan, and outworked Irina Alekseeva over three rounds to earn her first UFC win.

Now, seven months on, Sygula is ready to return for her third UFC outing, and she does so with her confidence at its highest level yet. But, as she explained to UFC.com this week, that self-belief hasn't come from her victory.

UFC Vegas 113: Klaudia Sygula Outworks Priscila Cachoeira

Women’s bantamweights Priscila Cachoeira and Klaudia Sygula kicked off UFC Vegas 113, the first-ever Fight Night card of the Paramount+ era.

The preliminary show opener fought Sygula coming off the first win of her UFC run, with the Polish fighter 1-1 in the promotion to date. Cachoeira, with over twice as many fights as a pro, was entering her 13th UFC contest.

The newly named “Meta Apex” played host to the card, with expanded seating to allow a small smattering of fans to witness the action in person.

The hard-hitting Cachoeira took some big swings early in the fight, with plenty of back-and-forth in the opening minute. Sygula was happy to answer back, mixing in the occasional kick. Punches in bunches as well as single strikes flowed from both women, with Cachoeira more often the fighter pushing forward. Near the midway mark, one solid overhand got Sygula retreating, but she quickly regrouped. Cachoeira, meanwhile, was wearing a bit of blood around her nose.

The UFC is back in action for a third-straight week as another Las Vegas card kicks off with this upcoming bout in the Women’s Bantamweight (135) Division. Brazil’s veteran Priscila Cachoeira will take on Poland’s newest prospect Klaudia Sygula to open the night of fights. Check our UFC odds series for the Cachoeira-Sygula prediction and pick.

Priscila Cachoeira (13-7) has gone 5-7 inside the UFC since joining the roster in 2018. She’s dropped three of her last four fights heading into this bout, hoping to bounce back and get back in the win column as the short underdog. Cachoeira stands 5-foot-7 with a 65-inch reach.

UFC Star Gives Classy Response to Inappropriate Question About Ian Garry’s Family Amid Race to Fight Islam Makhachev

UFC rising welterweight star Ian Garry has attracted attention for several years, though not always for his fighting. Initially, fans knew him and his wife, Layla Machado Garry, as one of MMA’s power couples until they discovered she had written a book years ago titled How to Be a WAG. As a result, the book, essentially a guide on attracting younger athletes, sparked satirical and critical comments online. Recently, the controversy intensified when the name of Islam Makhachev’s potential opponent entered the conversation.

With the couple already having a 14-year age gap, the situation escalated further when Dillon Danis leaked DMs from Layla Garry dating back to 2018, prompting several UFC fighters to criticize Ian and post degrading remarks. UFC star Colby Covington notably asked in 2024, “How many of you guys have f–ked Ian Garry’s wife?” Now, the same question resurfaced at UFC 325 in Sydney during a Q&A session hosted by Carlos Prates.

Home » MMA News » Islam Makhachev » VIDEO | Islam Makhachev, Kamaru Usman separated by Khabib Nurmagomedov…

UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev and former titleholder Kamaru Usman appear to be on a collision course.

Almost immediately after defeating Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322, UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev called for a matchup with former titleholder Kamaru Usman for his first title defense. Usman, who returned with a win over Joaquin Buckley at UFC Atlanta last summer, is regarded by many as one of the greatest fighters in Mixed Martial Arts history.

While fresh talent like Carlos Prates, Michael Morales, and Shavkat Rakhmonov make sense for Makhachev’s next fight, the newly-crowned welterweight titleholder remains insistent on fighting Usman next. The fight could come to fruition this spring, as the UFC puts together its 2026 event schedule.

Islam Makhachev and Kamaru Usman face off backstage at UFC 324

Islam Makhachev and Kamaru Usman face off, pushing for welterweight title fight.

Islam Makhachev and Kamaru Usman are doing their best to make a fight happen.

At UFC 322, Islam Makhachev dominated Jack Della Maddalena to claim the welterweight title, becoming just the 11th two-division champion in UFC history. Despite several other top contenders lined up at 170 pounds, Makhachev quickly started to call for his first title defense to come against former champion Kamaru Usman, a bout Usman has also lobbied for. And on Saturday, the two continued to try to push for this matchup.

Both Makhachev and Usman were in attendance at UFC 324 on Saturday, and during the event, the two fighters met up backstage to have a good-natured faceoff, with Khabib Nurmagomedov along for good measure.

Cub Swanson will face off against Nate Landwehr in his return fight at UFC 327

Cub Swanson returns to UFC 327 to face Nate Landwehr on April 11 in Miami, potentially marking the Hall of Famer's final fight.

After more than a year away from competition, UFC Hall of Famer Cub Swanson has decided to postpone retirement and return to the octagon for at least one more campaign. The 42-year-old featherweight veteran will face Nate “The Train” Landwehr at UFC 327 on April 11 at the Kaseya Center in Miami in what could potentially mark the closing chapter of one of MMA's most entertaining careers.

Cub Swanson books UFC 327 banger after deciding against retirement

Retirement was an option, but Swanson (30-14 MMA, 15-10 UFC) has chosen against it. Instead, he'll return April 11 at UFC 327 in Miami when he battles Nate Landwehr (18-7 MMA, 5-5 UFC) in a three-round bout at Kaseya Center.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Swanson first announced the bout on social media.

Swanson, 42, most recently fought in December 2024 when he cracked Billy Quarantillo with a walkoff knockout right cross. Swanson had indicated the fight would be his final, but openly admitted to grappling with the decision in its immediate aftermath. A member of the UFC roster since the WEC merger in 2011, Swanson is 5-3 in his most recent eight outings.

UFC doubles fight night bonuses, adds incentive for every finish

Dana White joins "The Pat McAfee Show" to preview Sean O’Malley vs. Song Yadong and Paddy Pimblett vs. Justin Gaethje at UFC 324 in Las Vegas. (0:48)

The UFC is doubling the amounts of its long-running fight night bonus structure, as well as awarding a bonus for every single finish inside the Octagon.

The new bonus structure will take effect at UFC 324 on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Traditionally, the UFC has awarded four $50,000 bonuses at every event — two to the card's top performers, and one to each of the athletes involved in the "fight of the night." Those fight night bonuses will now be worth $100,000. Additionally, the UFC will hand out a $25,000 bonus to every athlete who records a finish but fails to win one of the $100,000 bonuses.

Dana White raising UFC performance bonuses to $100,000, adding finish bonus

UFC fighters now have an increased incentive to go all out to put on exciting performances and look to secure finishes in the Octagon. UFC president and CEO Dana White has announced that, beginning with Saturday's UFC 324 card in Las Vegas, the promotion has restructured post-fight bonuses.

Outside of special circumstances, the recent bonus structure has included $50,000 bonuses for two fighters who earn Performance of the Night, as well as $50,000 bonuses for the two fighters awarded Fight of the Night.

Sign up for Paramount+ and watch UFC 324 live on Saturday night for no additional fee — every UFC numbered event and UFC Fight Night is included with the price of your subscription! Plans start as low as $8.99/month or $89.99/year!

UFC doubles post-fight bonuses to $100K in Paramount era, institutes finish bonuses

In the hours after the ink had dried on UFC's seven-year, $7.7 billion broadcast deal with Paramount, UFC CEO Dana White promised that "bonuses are obviously going up" in the new era. On Saturday, ahead of the promotion's first show on its new broadcast home, fighters finally got a sense of what that'll look like.

White told the Sports Business Journal that post-fight bonuses are set to double from $50,000 to $100,000, beginning with Saturday's UFC 324 numbered event in Las Vegas. Four of those bonuses will continue to be handed out after every event — two Performance of the Night bonuses and two Fight of the Night bonuses.

Max Holloway "Cannot Believe" Dana White Put a former champ and ex-title challenger on the UFC 324 prelims

Each passing day, UFC 324 appears to be drifting deeper into controversy. Booking decisions are now being questioned both inside and outside the sport. Placing a top-ranked contender on the prelims says a lot about the direction the promotion seems to be taking as 2026 unfolds.

Max Holloway did not hide his surprise when he learned that Umar Nurmagomedov, the No. 2-ranked bantamweight contender, was booked to face former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo on the preliminary card. With a top contender and a former titleholder sharing the cage, the immediate question followed. Why was a fight of that caliber pushed to the prelims?

Deiveson Figueiredo Is Belng Sacrificed At UFC 324, Says Former UFC Champion

Former UFC champion Aljamain Sterling has an interesting view on the UFC 324 clash between Umar Nurmagomedov and Deiveson Figueiredo.

Tonight, Deiveson Figueiredo will attempt to pull off quite the upset when he collides with Umar Nurmagomedov. Umar is widely considered to be one of the best bantamweights in the world, but even with that being the case, it’s not clear as to when he’s going to get another title shot after failing to defeat Merab Dvalishvili for the belt last year.

Deiveson Figueiredo, meanwhile, has been on a rollercoaster ride at 135 pounds, and there are a lot of fans and pundits out there who feel as if his best days are behind him. Alas, this is one of the most exciting flyweight champions of all time we’re talking about here, and he is going to throw everything at Nurmagomedov in an attempt to prove that he still belongs at the championship level.

UFC On Paramount Plus: 2026 Event Schedule And How To Watch Fights Explained

MMA fans rejoice! It's 2026, which means the UFC has finally moved away from the pay-per-view model. Audiences in the United States can now watch UFC numbered events (which used to be PPVs) and Fight Nights on Paramount+.

A Paramount+ Essential subscription (with ads) is $8.99 a month or $89.99 a year. Paramount+ Premium (ad-free) is $13.99 a month or $139.99 a year. Both tiers have access to UFC content. There are no additional costs or side packages required to watch UFC content on Paramount+. However, it's important to note that live sports on the streamer feature commercials, regardless of subscription plan.

UFC's first event on Paramount+ is also its first of the new year. Unfortunately, it's had something of a rocky start. Amanda Nunes, arguably the greatest female fighter of all time, was set to make her return on the card against Bantamweight Champion Kayla Harrison. This would have been Nunes' first bout after retiring in 2023. However, a severe neck injury forced Harrison out. Luckily, fans still have an absolute banger main event waiting for them: Justin Gaethje is fighting Paddy Pimblett for the interim UFC Lightweight Championship at UFC 324 on January 24.

Paramount Will Use UFC to Kick Off Programmatic Live Ad Sales in Sports Events

UFC fighters have many moves, but none of them will keep marketers from buying programmatic inventory in their coming events backed by Paramount Skydance,.

The company said Wednesday it would offer live, in-game programmatic buying for select commercial units in what it called “marquee sporting events,” starting January 24 with the debut of UFC matches on Paramount+. The decision marks the first time advertisers can purchase a guaranteed, real-time placement in Paramount’s streamed sports.

“This initiative underscores Paramount’s commitment to media modernization, expanding opportunities for marketers to show up during the biggest and buzziest moments of scaled audience attention,” said Jay Askinasi, Paramount’s recently-installed chief revenue officer, in a statement. “By bringing guaranteed positions to the streaming sports stage, both directly and programmatically, we’re widening the aperture for more advertisers to tap into the passion, energy and engagement of live sports with the agility, optimization and precision of digital.

Mailbag: UFC on Paramount+ early takeaways, plus managing expectations for Zuffa Boxing's debut

UFC fights are officially available to watch on Paramount+, so what’s the early verdict on the look and feel of the new broadcast home for Octagon action? Plus, with Zuffa Boxing’s debut just a couple weeks away, why haven’t we heard more about it?

All that and more in this week’s mailbag. To ask a question of your own, hit up @BenFowlkesMMA on X or @Ben_Fowlkes on Threads.

@fistfulofbuddha: Have you checked out the new Paramount UFC interface? What do you think about it so far?

I’ve clicked around a little bit. It seems like you can find portions of past numbered events (though not the entire cards, at least from what I’ve seen) as well as some curated collections. But if you’re expecting it to be like UFC Fight Pass, with an easily searchable library of UFC fights going back decades, forget it. Right now, there don’t seem to be that many individual fights separated out in a way that’s easy to find.
