Jammu & Kashmir captain Paras Dogra won the toss and opted to bat in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 final against Karnataka in Hubballi.
While hosts Karnataka were unchanged from the semi-final, J&K made two changes to the side that played both previous knockout games. They brought in Qamran Iqbal and Sahil Lotra in place of Vanshaj Sharma and Shubham Khajuria.
Playing their first Ranji final, J&K enter the game on the back of successive wins against Bengal in the semi-final and against Madhya Pradesh in the quarter-final. Karnataka, meanwhile, won the semi-final against Uttarakhand on first-innings lead. Before that, they hunted 325 down against Mumbai in the quarter-final, and had stunned Punjab by chasing 250 in 28 overs in their final group game.
