Two teenage boys have died after the motorbike they were riding collided with a commuter bus in Sydney’s west on Monday night.

Emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving a bus on the Liverpool Parramatta Transitway at Bossley Park about 7.10pm.

Police said the motorbike became trapped underneath the bus. The rider, a 15-year-old boy, and a passenger, a 14-year-old boy, were treated by paramedics, but both died at the scene.

The 48-year-old bus driver was also assessed by paramedics before being taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

The death of two teenage boys overnight after a crash between a motorbike and bus on a T-way route in Sydney's west has led to renewed calls for action to prevent a similar tragedy.

Police say the bike collided with the side of the commuter bus, before becoming wedged under it on the Liverpool Parramatta T-way.

Fairfield City Council Mayor Frank Carbone says he has campaigned for more to be done to stop young people riding motorbikes and e-bikes on the T-way, which is a dedicated bus transit way.
