Jackie “O” Henderson sent a text message to the head of the KiiS FM Network five months before she walked off air, saying listeners were complaining that she was in an “abusive relationship” with former co-host Kyle Sandilands.

Court documents show the former co-host of the Kyle and Jackie O Show has alleged in her wrongful termination claim against the network that she was subject to “degrading” comments by Sandilands on air. The allegations also reveal a number of conversations had between Henderson and senior producers at the network.

In a claim statement lodged with the Federal Court, the broadcast star said nothing in her $100 million, 10-year contract with radio giant ARN should have led her to be fired just for refusing to work with Sandilands.

On February 20, the pair clashed on KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O Show after Sandilands accused his co-host of being "off with the fairies".

Jackie “O” Henderson demanded ARN’s chairman and chief executive intervene to stop Kyle Sandilands treating her like they were in an “abusive relationship” after he berated her by claiming she was on “period time” six months before their working partnership blew up.

Documents released by the Federal Court on Wednesday show Henderson complained about Sandilands’ behaviour after broadcasts in August and September 2025 during which he berated her in similar terms to the February 2026 incident that ended their working partnership.

In the documents, Henderson demands more than $82 million in compensation from KIIS’ owner ARN for tearing up her contract and claims the station breached workplace rules by effectively retaliating against her after she exercised her rights to complain about Sandilands.
