Pedestrians 'lucky to be alive' after truck loses load on highway

A truck lost its load on the North-South Motorway in Adelaide's north today, sending two 15-tonne concrete slabs onto the road and into parked cars.

The truck involved in the incident was a private contractor transporting concrete segments for the T2D Project.

Two pedestrians were "lucky to be alive" after a truck lost its load on the North-South Motorway north of Adelaide, police say.

Police said the incident occurred when vehicles merged into the southbound lane in front of a truck laden with concrete slabs just after 10:30am on Friday.
