Severe thunderstorms are approaching Adelaide this afternoon, with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing a warning for damaging winds across metropolitan Adelaide and large parts of South Australia.
The warning, issued at 2:42pm on Sunday, October 11, covers Adelaide Metropolitan, Flinders and parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula, Mid North, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Murraylands and North West Pastoral districts.
Severe thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging winds across the warning area over the next several hours, with residents urged to take precautions as the weather system moves east.
