Aldi puts Coles, Woolworths, IGA to shame with 'cheapest' CHOICE grocery shop

Consumer group CHOICE revealed that Aldi is, once again, the cheapest grocery store, especially for winter food essentials.

Every three months, the consumer group compares the grocery prices of similar items at Aldi, Coles, Woolworths and IGA to see how far your money will go at the checkout.

Aldi has consistently come out on top in the survey, which has been running for three years, and it's no different for the latest supermarket grocery basket report.

The prices at Aldi were almost $9 cheaper than at Woolworths, the next-cheapest supermarket.
