I’d never taken a proper solo vacation before this week, and I rather enjoyed having one. While visiting family for the holidays, I decided to reschedule my return flight and enjoy an extended layover in Paris (the city I was already connecting in) for a few days.

It was a nice trip! I’ve been to the city before, but not for well over a decade. I spent time wandering around, trying bakeries and restaurants and visiting a couple of museums. It was calming and restorative. I mostly got around by bus instead of metro so I’d be able to see more things, even if from a distance.
