It's time to pack the car and hit the wide open road, because One Night Stand is back for another year. There's a stacked line-up, a destination picked out on the map and a heap of mates descending on the rural town of Griffith NSW for a hot night on Saturday 5 September.

UPDATE 15/07/26: triple j has revealed the host town for this year’s One Night Stand will be the NSW Riverina town of Griffith, with the festivities to hit the Showground on Wiradjuri Country on Saturday, 5 September.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: triple j has unveiled the lineup for One Night Stand 2026 – but there’s one small catch: we still don’t know where it’s happening.

The broadcaster has confirmed that Ninajirachi, DMA’S, Genesis Owusu, MAY-A and Beddy Rays will all descend on one lucky regional Australian town on Saturday, 5 September, with the host location set to be revealed tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 July, during triple j Breakfast with Abby & Tyrone.

It was a scene repeated in Buenos Aires and across the country. Now only Spain lies between Argentina and their attempt to be the first country to win a back-to-back title since 1962.

In Cutral Co in the southern province of Neuquen, a crowd of about 300 locals gathered to watch the game on a screen set up next to Messi’s towering knees. They burst into screams as the referee blew his whistle at the end of the semi-final against England. Argentina came back from being 1-0 down, ultimately winning 2-1.

Even though France’s World Cup title hopes ended with Tuesday’s 2-0 semifinal loss to Spain, Kylian Mbappé has not been eliminated from the Golden Boot race.

France will still play in Saturday’s third-place match, and any goals scored in that game count toward the Golden Boot standings. Les Bleus will face the loser of Wednesday’s semifinal between England and Argentina.

As things stand, Mbappé and Lionel Messi are tied for the tournament lead with eight goals apiece. If they finish level on goals, the Golden Boot will be decided by FIFA’s tiebreakers:

Mbappé currently holds the edge with three assists compared to Messi’s two.

Help pages for The New York Times Co NYSE:NYT’s Connections puzzle No. 1,128 were live at CNET, Yahoo Tech and TechRadar ahead of Monday’s regular U.S. market open. A July 11-13 sample shows all three outlets publishing one dated Connections page a day, an annualized run rate of 1,095 URLs before Wordle, Strands or sister publications enter the count.

The count is not a revenue estimate. It matters because the same daily habit produces two different businesses: the Times owns the game, the direct user relationship and the subscription pitch, while outside publishers capture demand for clues and answers in their own page inventory. The Times says free Wordle and Connections play helps build audiences that can be monetized with advertising, affiliate revenue or eventual subscription conversion.

Subaru recalls more than 541,000 vehicles over labeling error

Subaru of America is recalling more than 541,000 vehicles because they were manufactured with an error on their certification labels, according to federal regulators.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a recall notice that the vehicles' labels have an incorrect gross axle weight rating, or GAWR, which could lead to an overweighted vehicle and increase the risk of a crash. GAWR is the load-carrying capacity of an axle system, according to NHTSA.

The recall affects certain 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid vehicles, 2025 to 2026 Forester Hybrid and Forester vehicles and 2019 to 2026 Ascent vehicles. All 541,237 vehicles included in the recall contain the defect.

Subaru, which was notified of the issue by NHTSA in May, is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to the labeling error.
