Joel Creasey: Perth-raised Nova presenter set for solo lunchtime stint in major network shake-up

Perth-raised Nova radio presenter Joel Creasey has revealed he’s to launch his own national lunchtime show on the network, slated for debut in April.

The move comes amid a major shake-up for the broadcaster in which its top-end talent will take on opposing time slots, and in Creasey’s case, attempt to make it as a solo act.

On Friday, following months of speculation, Nova announced its Sydney breakfast show, Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Ritchie, would be pulled from the AM slot.

Nova’s national drive show Rikki Lee, Tim and Joel will be also cease, with Tim Blackwell and Ricki-Lee Coulter moved to Sydney breakfast, while Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Ritchie will move to the afternoon slot.

Gonna be golden? Who will – and should – win the big awards at the 2026 Grammys

The top categories are stacked with quality, from Bad Bunny to Kendrick Lamar, Chappell Roan and K-pop hits – but here are the artists who most deserve to triumph

    Bad Bunny – DTMF
    Sabrina Carpenter – Manchild
    Doechii – Anxiety
    Billie Eilish – Wildflower
Kendrick Lamar & SZA – Luther
    Lady Gaga – Abracadabra
    Chappell Roan – The Subway
Rosé & Bruno Mars – APT.

The Grammys can certainly feel familiar: Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, Chappell Roan and Billie Eilish were all nominated in this category last year, plus there are appearances from Lady Gaga (who has 45 total nominations), Bruno Mars (36) and Bad Bunny (16). But the favouritism is justified in this strong field.

There’s a turf war going down at the Grammy Awards that hasn’t necessarily been as pronounced until now. As one anonymous voter — who’s in their second year as a member of the Recording Academy — puts it, it’s fueled by the inevitable evolution of how music is being discovered and consumed, which often takes the form of video crudité. “There are two sides,” the voter explains. “We’re looking at the ‘virality artists’ who are intentionally creating TikTok hits, making songs to go viral, and are very catchy with the algorithm and meant for that type of platform. The 15-second hooks, if you will.” The opposing side upholds a weightier industry standard, at least for this voter. “We have artists creating complex narratives, like Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish, who are doubling down on musicianship and legacy,” they say. “That’s the overall theme this year, and I strongly leaned in to the legacy side.”

Coming Soon: A New Layer of Privacy

Samsung to unveil a new Galaxy privacy layer to protect users from shoulder surfing in public spaces.

Users can customize visibility for apps, password entry, and notifications with adjustable settings.

New hardware and software protection introduces pixel-level privacy as part of Samsung’s commitment to security.

Our phones are our most personal space, but we use them in the least private places. On the bus, in the elevator, and wherever we’re waiting in line, our digital laundry gets aired in plain view. And as phones become more tailored to our routines and preferences, concerns about privacy are only growing.

That’s why Samsung will soon unveil a new layer of privacy to shield your phone from shoulder surfing wherever you go. You’ll have the space to check your messages or enter a password on public transit without thinking twice about who might be watching.

Samsung Galaxy S26 will have ‘pixel level’ privacy feature, Samsung confirms

Samsung is cooking up a fresh new privacy feature for the next Galaxy phones.

The company announced in a pretty vague blog post that it's getting ready to show off new security functions that work "at a pixel level" for Galaxy phones in the near future. We don't have a strict date for when we'll learn more yet, but the smart money would be on the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumored to take place in late February.

We'll presumably see the new Galaxy S26 lineup at Unpacked, and with it, a look at this new privacy shield.

Again, Samsung didn't go deep into how all of this works, but the company claimed it'll be a way for you to do things like enter sensitive passwords in public spaces without strangers peering over your shoulder to see what you're doing. It apparently has granular options that allow you to make the privacy feature work only with certain apps or to censor notification pop-ups.

Samsung confirms one of the Galaxy S26 Ultra's most leaked features – GSMArena.com news

Today Samsung is announcing "a new layer of privacy" coming soon "to keep everyday moments truly yours". See if the following quote from the official press release sounds familiar: "Samsung will soon unveil a new layer of privacy to shield your phone from shoulder surfing wherever you go. You’ll have the space to check your messages or enter a password on public transit without thinking twice about who might be watching".

That's right, Samsung has basically just confirmed the Galaxy S26 Ultra's oft-leaked privacy screen feature. This will be incredibly customizable. The company says you can choose to have it on for specific apps, or only when entering access details "for more private areas of your phone". You can also only protect "specific parts of your experience, such as notification pop-ups".

Lemon’s lawyer said he was taken into custody after attending protest in which demonstrators disrupted a church service earlier in January

Who is Don Lemon, the ex-CNN anchor arrested over a Minnesota church protest?

Don Lemon, the former CNN anchor, was arrested late on Thursday on charges that he violated federal law during a protest at a church in Minnesota earlier this month.

Abbe Lowell, a lawyer for Lemon, said that Lemon was “taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards”.

“Don has been a journalist for 30 years, and his constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done,” Lowell said. “The first amendment exists to protect journalists whose role it is to shine light on the truth and hold those in power accountable.

Don Lemon: Ex-CNN host arrested after anti-ICE protests at Minnesota church

Lemon, now an independent journalist, was taken into custody by federal agents on Thursday night while in Los Angeles covering the Grammy Awards, according to his lawyer Abbe Lowell.

"Don will fight these charges vigorously and thoroughly in court," Lowell said. Lemon, 59, is due to appear in federal court in LA on Friday.

He went into the Cities Church in St Paul on 18 January with a group of protesters who said one of the pastors was an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official.

Juan Carlos Ferrero in an in-depth interview: “I could return alongside Carlos at some point”

The pain caused by the abrupt end of his partnership with Carlos Alcaraz is beginning to ease, says Juan Carlos Ferrero, who is looking ahead and ruling nothing out: he could one day coach Jannik Sinner. Or he could work again with Alcaraz himself.

“Doors shouldn’t be slammed shut with a blunt no, should they? Just as I could work with Carlos again at some point in the future — who knows — I could also (…) work with Jannik,” Ferrero told CLAY in a phone interview from Bahrain, also published by RG Media.

A former world No. 1 and champion of Roland Garros and the Davis Cup, Ferrero spoke about his new role as coach to a promising young Spanish golfer, Ángel Ayora, clarified still-unsettled aspects of his split with Alcaraz, and referred to the work Samuel López is doing as the new coach of the world No. 1.

Over their seven-plus years together, Ferrero was the guiding voice that helped Alcaraz reach the top of the ATP rankings and win a pair of titles each at Wimbledon, Roland Garros and the US Open among numerous successes. Two superstars will change their fortunes at the WWE Royal Rumble. On Saturday, one man and one woman will secure world title matches at WrestleMania 42.

Every year, the Royal Rumble jump-starts the Road to WrestleMania. Superstars throw each other over the top rope with hopes of winning the Rumble. This year, Cody Rhodes seeks to become only the second superstar to win three Rumbles, a feat achieved only by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. That's a tall task with a stacked field featuring Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker.

Nine former world champions are set for the women's Rumble, including Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan. Rounding out the card is Drew McIntyre's first undisputed WWE title defense against Sami Zayn, plus the potential finale of "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. It's a high-stakes retirement match pitting Styles' career against Gunther's Rumble spot.

Mikel Arteta has said failing to maintain his "great" relationship with Pep Guardiola amid a title race would set a "bad example" for sport and instead pointed to the respectful rivalry between tennis legends Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

The pair first met at Barcelona's La Masia academy when Arteta was just 15 years old and he later worked under Guardiola at Manchester City for three seasons prior to becoming Arsenal boss in 2019.

Mikel Arteta addresses Pep Guardiola 'mind games' after shock Arsenal claim

Mikel Arteta revealed he still speaks to Pep Guardiola and insisted that will not change despite Arsenal going toe to toe with Manchester City in the title race.

The pair are close friends after Arteta spent more than three years at City as Guardiola's assistant.

That relationship has been maintained since Arteta took charge at Arsenal in 2019, even with the two clubs challenging at the top of the Premier League.

Guardiola claimed last week that Arsenal are the best team in the world and Arteta was asked whether he thought that was the City boss playing mind games.

On whether the two managers are still able to speak away from the pitch despite their rivalry, Arteta continued: "Yeah, I don't talk [with him] like with my wife, but we talk generally. I think he talks about how he feels, and that's it.

Arteta: Arsenal are 'far from perfect'

Arsenal are "far from perfect", despite their healthy leads in the Premier League and Champions League, so says Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners head into the weekend with a seven-point cushion at the top of the Premier League, albeit that could be cut to four points by the time they host Manchester United on Sunday.

They are also three points clear in the Champions League, with their midweek win over Inter meaning they are sure of their place in the top two of the 36-team standings.

Pep Guardiola labelled Arsenal as the clear standout team in England, and though they have a 93.1% chance of winning the Premier League title, according to Opta's predictive model, Arteta warned that his team are not the finished product.

Pleasant and polite, Carlos Alcaraz gives off the impression he does not have a bad bone in his body.

So when the world number one was asked about Alex de Minaur following his triumph in their Australian Open quarterfinal, you can guarantee his comments were intended as feedback rather than criticism.

Alex de Minaur has been knocked out of the Australian Open by world number one Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets.

"When he's playing against the best or the top player, he's trying to be more aggressive, which sometimes [means] he's just out of his comfort zone," Alcaraz said after his 7-5, 6-2, 6-1 win over de Minaur.

Tennis world rallies around Alex de Minaur after heartbreaking scenes after Aus Open loss

Tennis fans and commentators are urging Alex de Minaur not to give up hope after the Aussie star came unstuck at the quarter-final stage of a grand slam once again. The World No.6 enjoyed a brilliant Australian Open campaign to make the last eight, producing dominant wins over 29th seed Frances Tiafoe and 10th seed Alexander Bublik.

But he was no match for World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz on Tuesday night, going down in straight sets 5-7 2-6 1-6. It once again exposed the gaping divide between Alcaraz and World No.2 Sinner and the rest of the field.

De Minaur is now a combined 0-19 in his career against Alcaraz and Sinner – 0-6 against Alcaraz and 0-13 against Sinner. He's now made seven quarter-finals appearances at grand slams but never made a semi, becoming the third man after Andrey Rublev and Tommy Robredo to achieve that unwanted feat.
