Unfortunate News For Anthony Edwards Ahead Of Game Against Philadelphia 76ers

The Minnesota Timberwolves (35–22) welcome the Philadelphia 76ers (30–26) to Target Center on Sunday, February 22, 2026, with both sides short-handed in the paint. Minnesota comes in as an 8.5-point favorite after beating the Dallas Mavericks 122–111. Anthony Edwards set the tone once again, averaging 29.5 points per game this season and recently claiming the 2026 All-Star Game MVP.

Still, Minnesota will have to adjust without Rudy Gobert, who is serving a one-game suspension after picking up his seventh flagrant foul point. The Timberwolves are expected to start Naz Reid at center, leaning on him to protect a defense that ranks seventh in the league against a Philadelphia team that has hit a rough patch.

The need for nastier paint defense in Portland on Saturday

It doesn’t happen often, yet maybe in the case of the Memphis Grizzlies, the sequel against the Portland Trail Blazers goes much smoother than the original. Yet that’s only going to happen if they don’t get crushed on the boards or experience the turd quarter.

It’s another entry in the team’s skeleton crew chronicles on the road, so the team will have to disrupt the ball without fouling and stay aware of the off-ball threats.

Notably, the Grizzlies’ road winning percentage is 0.9 points lower (39.1) than their home winning percentage (40.0). Here is what you need to know.
