While the Epic Games Store (EGS) has plenty going for it — weekly free games, decent sales, Epic rewards, and Fortnite — it's far from perfect. It hogs resources, games can take forever to load, and downloads can be slow. Thankfully, Epic has fixes in store that will debut relatively soon, with a refreshed Epic Games Store launcher coming in May or June.

"We're ripping the guts out of the Epic Games launcher, entirely — well, mostly entirely — and replacing it," vice president and general manager of Epic Games Store Steve Allison told Polygon in an interview tied to the EGS 2025 year in review. "That work started in October. It's pretty far along now."

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane helped Liverpool to Champions League and Premier League glory but the latter has come out on top during their international clashes

When Mohamed Salah leads out Egypt in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) semi-final against Senegal, he will feel both the weight of expectation from his nation and his own personal pressure to deliver a place in the final.

The North Africans are record seven-time continental champions but the most recent of those successes came in 2010, a year before the Liverpool forward's international debut.

The 33-year-old was a losing finalist at the 2017 and 2021 editions – with those defeats sandwiching a last-16 exit in 2019 on home soil – and he was then injured as Egypt suffered an early exit at the 2023 finals.

The Thicket, the acclaimed 2025 Western movie starring Juliette Lewis (Yellowjackets) and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), has been made available to watch at home.

Streaming through the service NOW, the Western thriller is based on the 2013 novel of the same name by cult author Joe R. Lansdale (Cold in July, Hap and Leonard).

Mohamed Salah scored a first-half penalty as 10-man Egypt defeated South Africa 1-0 in their Africa Cup of Nations Group B clash in Agadir on Friday to become the first team into the knockout stages of the competition.

Egypt have six points from their opening two games and cannot finish outside of the top two in the group. South Africa have three points from their two games, while Zimbabwe and Angola have one each after they drew 1-1 earlier in the day.

Salah won the penalty when he was clipped in the face by South Africa defender Khuliso Mudau as they tussled for the ball in the box, and stepped up to easily convert for his second goal of the tournament.

INDIANAPOLIS — — Brock Purdy threw a career-high five touchdown passes and Dee Winters returned an interception of Philip Rivers' final pass 74 yards for a score to lead the San Francisco 49ers to a 48-27 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night.

Purdy was 25 of 34 for 295 yards with one interception. Christian McCaffrey rushed 21 times for 117 yards and caught six passes for 29 yards and two scores. George Kittle had seven receptions for 115 yards and one TD.

The 49ers (11-4) won their fifth straight to stay in the chase for the NFC's top seed, one day after clinching a playoff spot by virtue of Detroit’s loss to Pittsburgh. San Francisco also snapped a five-game losing streak in the series, beating Indy for the first time since Jim Mora's infamous “playoffs” rant in November 2001.
