    After a dramatic win in their first extra-inning game this season, the Dodgers and Wrobleski face the Rockies

    There are round numbers all over the place for the Dodgers, entering play tonight with 60 wins, 30 of them at home, and 10 of those 60 belonging to one specific starter, Justin Wrobleski, the chosen option to attack the Rockies lineup this Tuesday. While on a positive note, the Rockies have the worst wRC+ in baseball against southpaws at 83. The Dodgers know all too well about the problems of potentially underestimating this offense, both Wrobleski and especially the bullpen.

    Gauff hit nine double faults, including five in one game in the first set, but the quality of ball-striking was immense and the No 7 seed held her nerve to get the job done and reach the quarter-finals for the first time. The 22-year-old will now play another American, Jessica Pegula, for a place in the semis.

    Fourth time's the charm! In her fourth appearance in the fourth round at Wimbledon, Coco Gauff broke through to a first-ever quarterfinal with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 comeback over Belinda Bencic.

    Gauff was not only 0-3 previously in fourth rounds at Wimbledon — she was also 0-6 in sets in those matches. And, over the first 50 minutes, that set record extended to 0-7 as she lost a 3-0 lead in the opener on No. 1 Court.

    Riyan Parag called correctly as the unbeaten Rajasthan Royals (RR) elected to bowl on a fresh surface in Hyderabad against a Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) outfit hoping to overturn a two-match losing streak in IPL 2026.

    RR made two changes, handing South Africa batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius his first opportunity of the season in place of a "rested" Shimron Hetmyer. In another like-for-like change, seamer Brijesh Sharma went out to accommodate Tushar Deshpande.

    Hosts SRH also made two changes, with the experienced bowling duo of Harshal Patel and Jaydev Unadkat making way for debutants Sakib Hussain and Praful Hinge. Sakib plays for Bihar in domestic cricket, and will be up against his state mate Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, while Hinge plays for Vidarbha under Harsh Dubey.

    Sunrisers Hyderabad duo of Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan displaced Vaibhav Suryavanshi for the top two spots in the updated Orange Cap list in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL) on Monday against Rajasthan Royals. Klaasen, who started this game with 184 runs, added 40 runs off 26 balls to his tally to 224 runs, the highest in the tournament so far.

    Klaasen's captain at Sunrisers Hyderabad, Ishan Kishan, too made a huge jump in the race for IPL 2026 Orange Cap. Coming into the game with just 122 runs in four games, Kishan smashed 91 runs off 43 balls to move to 213 runs, thus occupying the second place in the list.

    Italy captain Wayne Madsen has said that the narrowing margins of T20 cricket offer his side a cause of optimism as they prepare to face Nepal on Thursday, drawing inspiration from the way associate teams have pushed top-ranked sides, including Nepal who ran England close, earlier in the tournament.

    "We all know that T20 brings the competition levels a lot closer together and it takes one or two special performances from a couple of players in a team to win a game," Madsen said. "We can take a lot of confidence from having watched the Nepal-England game, but also the other games. USA played really well against India first game, and likewise the Netherlands against Pakistan.

    Prosecutors have withdrawn all charges against seven Walbunja men accused of illegally trafficking thousands of blacklip abalone.

    The co-accused were charged following a joint surveillance operation by NSW Fisheries officers and police from August 2023 to February 2024. 

    An application for NSW Police to pay the legal bills of the defendants will be heard on Friday.

    The trial of seven Walbunja men accused of illegally trafficking thousands of blacklip abalone has collapsed after questions about surveillance evidence. 

    The men had pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of illegally trafficking the high-value shellfish and participating in an organised criminal group.

    Seven South Coast men accused of participating in an organised criminal group that trafficked thousands of blacklip abalone have appeared before Nowra Local Court.

    According to documents tendered to the court, the group allegedly trafficked 'Haliotis rubra' commonly known as blacklip abalone from locations across the South Coast between September 2023 and February 2024.

    Under NSW law, "trafficking" includes taking, selling, receiving or possessing fish illegally, and offences can carry a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison.

    ‘Inherently dangerous’: Popular Blue Mountains destination closes

    Blue Mountains City Council has closed the popular Lincoln’s Rock lookout for at least three months due to increased safety risks. Mayor Mark Greenhill said “we cannot, in good conscience, keep it open”.

    The clifftop destination, in Wentworth Falls, closed last week after a growing number of visitors continued to ignore safety warnings at the unfenced site that overlooks the Jamison Valley.

    Last year, Greenhill told this masthead the lookout had received a surge in visitors after a popular K-pop star, Jennie from group Blackpink, visited the site in 2023 and shared photos of herself sitting on the edge of the rock to her 80 million-plus Instagram followers.
