    TV host Alison Hammond rushed to hospital after health scare live on air

    British TV presenter Alison Hammond has updated fans after rushing off the set of UK show This Morning due to a sudden health scare.

    The 51-year-old was presenting Friday’s episode live when she was seen holding a hand to her chest and making a swift exit before an ad break.

    The beloved presenter’s unexpected disappearance prompted concern from viewers, with Hammond revealing she had been taken to hospital to get her heart checked.

    “Hello my lovelies, I know you’re all worried about me,” she told her 1.9 million Instagram followers from a hospital bed.

    Alison Hammond went to hospital for a heart check-up after leaving ITV's This Morning midway through Friday's show, but has assured followers she is "fine".

    The presenter, 51, left the programme during its live broadcast, appearing to clutch her chest as she was assisted off the set by co-host Dermot O'Leary. He later told viewers she was "feeling a little unwell".

    In a video posted from a hospital bed on Friday afternoon, Hammond said she had "a little bit of a palpitation" during the show but was feeling OK and was undergoing tests.

    "I know you're all worried about me," she said. "Honestly, I am fine. First of all, I'm getting my old ticker checked out."

    Alison Hammond abruptly leaves This Morning mid-broadcast: 'Hopefully she'll be back'

    TV host Alison Hammond abruptly left This Morning during its live broadcast on Friday after feeling "a little unwell", and was later admitted to hospital.

    Co-host Dermot O'Leary, 53, broke the news when the show came back from an advert break, saying: "Welcome back to This Morning. Alison is feeling a little unwell, so she's just had to duck out."

    The programme had begun with Hammond and O'Leary at the helm, and her departure came after a segment about pets.

    The former X Factor host later told viewers that Hammond would not be returning.

    Richard Hammond has faced more legal action with a second court appearance.

    A company owned by the former Top Gear presenter was ordered to pay a financial penalty after a case was heard by magistrates in Worcester earlier this month.

    The Smallest Cog Limited, which operates from premises in Beech Lane on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate, admitted failing to provide information that could identify the driver of a Ford vehicle linked to an alleged offence.

    As a result of the guilty plea, the court imposed a fine on the business along with a victim surcharge.

    Richard Hammond's car restoration company fined after appearing in court

    RICHARD Hammond's car restoration company has been fined after appearing in court.

    The Smallest Cog Limited, based in Rotherwas, appeared before magistrates in Worcester earlier this month after being brought in on a charge of failing to identify a driver.

    The company pleaded guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, a Ford, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

    The court confirmed that a fine and victim surcharge were imposed on the company.

    The company, of which Hammond is the sole director, has a registered address in London according to Companies House, but trades from a unit in Beech Lane in the Rotherwas Industrial Estate.
