Australia's World No. 6, Minjee Lee, has withdrawn from the LA Championship prior to the start of the second round. No reason was provided by the LPGA Tour.
Lee, 29, was tied for 40th after she posted a three-under-par 69 in Thursday's first round at the El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, California. She carded six birdies and three bogeys, including one on the 18th hole.

Earlier today, the LPGA Tour's official communications team announced that three-time major winner Minjee Lee has withdrawn from the JM Eagle LA Championship.

It comes as a bit of a surprise, especially seen as though Lee played well during Thursday's first round. The 29-year-old carded six birdies, and three bogeys, including one on the 18th hole.
She was six shots off of clubhouse leader Chizzy Iwai, who had an electrifying day around El Cab, that included five consecutive birdies and an eagle to close out her first nine holes.
