Korean actor Lee Sang-bo was found dead on Thursday, police said. He was 43.

Authorities are investigating the cause of death after responding to a report from family members, according to local media. Lee's agency said Friday it was working to confirm details surrounding his death.

A representative of Korea Management Group (KMG), Lee Sang-bo’s agency, told Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today on the 27th, "We saw the news and are currently trying to understand the situation."

According to a report by Hankook Ilbo the same day, Lee Sang-bo was found dead on the 26th. Police were dispatched to the scene following a report from his family and are said to be investigating the exact cause of death.

Born in 1981, Lee Sang-bo made his debut in 2006 in the KBS 2TV drama "Invisible Man Choi Jang Soo." He went on to appear in "Daughters-in-Law," "Cruel Love," "Private Lives," "Miss Monte-Cristo," and "The Elegant Empire," among others.
