“Yeah, cheers the Broncos for that,” he joked to Fox League post-game.

But the Craig Bellamy-coached Storm, usually the last team you would want to face off a loss, went down again. And again. And again.

They didn’t just go down either. They were dominated, first by Penrith as Melbourne conceded 50 points and then by the Warriors at home.

Reeling Blue Jays look to red-hot Gausman (who else?) for stability

The Blue Jays have looked to Kevin Gausman as a source of stability for years, but this might be as vital as he’s ever been for Toronto.

The club’s rotation has been gutted, with Trey Yesavage, Shane Bieber, José Berríos and Cody Ponce all out. Key bats like Alejandro Kirk, Addison Barger and George Springer are on the IL as well. And a season that began with the Blue Jays looking like one of the World Series favorites is threatening to unravel.

Having gone 3-9 in their past 12 games while losing four straight series, the Blue Jays are relying on the 35-year-old Gausman to be a stopper. He's to make his fourth start of the season in Tuesday’s series opener against the Brewers as Toronto kicks off a nine-game road trip.

‘Doesn’t look good’: Legend’s shock at epic Bellamy spray after ‘scapegoat’ Storm star hooked

It was a horror night for the Storm on Saturday, but no player had a worse few hours than Melbourne forward Joe Chan, who copped a massive spray from coach Craig Bellamy before being benched.

Chan had a tough outing, committing three errors and exposed in defence during the Storm’s shock 38-14 loss at home to the Warriors.

At half time, Fox League cameras captured Bellamy gave the back rower a dressing down in the sheds.

'We're all kicking ourselves': Munster demands mentality shift

Storm star Cameron Munster admits his side have plenty to work on to rejoin the winners circle but has belief they are the team to break a well-known rugby league hoodoo.

Coming into their Round 6 match against the Warriors having lost three games in a row for the first time since 2022, Munster said the players had to take accountability for their string of poor performances.

"We're all kicking ourselves and pretty down in the dumps", Munster said of the 50-10 loss last week at the hands of Penrith.

“We've been probably below par the last three weeks and individually, you probably still have to look in the mirror, but to Panthers credit, they played a perfect game and put a lot of pressure on us.

The trailer for the first season of the new Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, has sparked passionate discussion online: Does popular culture IP need to keep being rehashed? Is the series taking on too much of a similar aesthetic as the first movie, as the trailer seems to indicate?

But the biggest issue of all is about plot points – diehard fans are keen to see what was lost in the movies reinstated in HBO Max’s TV series, which will drop for Christmas 2026.

Harry Potter TV reboot drops trailer and reveals date

“Mr Potter, I think we can expect great things from you, let’s see who you are.”That’s a promise if there ever was one.

The first teaser trailer for HBO’s reboot of Harry Potter landed this morning, nine months out from its Christmas debut.

That premiere date is earlier than what had previously been teased by HBO boss Casey Bloys who had coyly suggested the series would drop in early 2027. For Potter heads, it’s Christmas come, well, at Christmas time.

PORT Adelaide and Essendon will both be out to avenge horror round one losses when they meet at Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The Power (0-1) got the Josh Carr era off to a dismal start, smashed in the onball battle and put to the sword in open spaces by a rebuilding North Melbourne.

Port has a relatively kind fixture to begin its season but will need more from its much-vaunted midfield to ensure the season does not quickly spiral out of control.

Essendon (0-1) was handed an early-season reality check as it failed to challenge the undermanned Hawthorn between a spirited opening and a late flurry of consolation goals.

New coach’s immediate axe swing in search for first win over under-fire Dons — LIVE

New Port Adelaide head coach Josh Carr is out to pocket his first win at the helm on Sunday afternoon, up against an Essendon outfit desperate to break a 14-game losing streak.

The Power (0-1, 59.3%) are coming off an underwhelming 46-point loss to North Melbourne last Sunday, and have swung three changes in an immediate attempt to rectify their wrongs. Jack Lukosius is among the trio of inclusions, after having an interrupted pre-season with injury.

Three big questions ahead of Celtics-Warriors

A depleted Warriors squad tests Boston’s focus as Tatum’s workload and home edge come into play.

This may sound like a dumb question, but there’s some merit to it. Will Boston be ready to compete against a Golden State team missing some of its biggest names?

Stephen Curry and Celtics champion Al Horford were both out in Golden State’s win against the Wizards on Monday.

Golden State started De’Anthony Melton, Brandin Podziemski, Will Richard, Draymond Green and Gui Santos. No disrespect to that group — they’re all solid role players, but they don’t have the talent to beat Boston if the Celtics take the game seriously.

Live: New-look Knights back up from Vegas victory against Manly at Brookvale

The Newcastle Knights are at Brookvale Oval to take on the Sea Eagles after opening their season with an electric victory in Las Vegas.

Later, it's a derby between the Dolphins and Titans as they both try to become the first Queensland team to win a game this season.

Ponga is involved again, but this time the main man is Dylan Brown, who produces a lovely lofted pass out to Dom Young.

He makes it to the corner to dive in, and it looks like Tom Trbojevic comes in with some knees after the fact, but it's cleared by the referee.

Sunday feast: Sea Eagles v Knights; Dolphins v Titans

A time-honoured rivalry and a modern-day rivalry bring down the curtain on Round 2.

First up it's the Knights and Sea Eagles meeting for the 62nd time since Newcastle entered the competition in 1988 – including the epic 1997 grand final which is considered one of the greatest deciders ever.

The Dolphins and Titans then square off at Suncorp Stadium in their 11th meeting since the men from Redcliffe became the NRL's 17th team in 2023.

Plenty to play for both games and you can follow all the action from Round 2 of the NRL Telstra Premiership on NRL.com's live blog.

12 min: More slick backline work from the Knights as Kalyn Ponga goes to first receiver and sends it on to Dylan Brown who sends a superb overhead pass to Dom Young who powers into the right-hand corner. Ponga nails the conversion again. Knights 12-0.

Paul Bryan, Brandon Wakeham and Josh Feledy are in line to make their Club debut for Manly.

The Sea Eagles and Knights will be playing for the Malcolm Reilly Challenge Trophy.

The Sea Eagles will also play the Knights at 4 Pines Park on Sunday in the Jersey Flegg Cup (12:00pm) and the NSW Cup (1:45pm) with gates opening at 11:30am.

A look back at five Crows debuts that shaped the Club

In Round One, 1996, five debutants took the field for the Crows, kicking off careers that would shape the club’s history.

Thirty years ago, five new Crows started a journey to surprising success.

Five recruits with assorted football experiences shared their debuts for Adelaide in Round One of 1996 but would later share triumphs of greater significance.

Darren Jarman, Kym Koster, Troy Bond, Peter Caven and Shane Ellen – all added to the squad after a disappointing 1995 season under coach Robert Shaw – played in a stirring 90-point win against Sydney at Football Park, on the last day of March.

Remarkably, the five featured on the last day of September the following year, when Adelaide won its first AFL premiership at the MCG.

Crows tight-lipped on Daicos plans, ponder ruck change

Matthew Nicks was keeping mum on ways Adelaide will try quell the influence of gun Magpie

ADELAIDE coach Matthew Nicks is keeping his cards close to his chest as he prepares to dull the influence of a red-hot Nick Daicos in Saturday night's clash with Collingwood.

The Magpies superstar dismantled St Kilda with 41 disposals, seven marks and four clearances at the weekend, and will again be a pivotal figure as last year's minor premiers open their 2026 campaign.

Nicks said the Crows had enormous respect for Daicos but remained coy on what plans he would employ to keep the three-time All-Australian under wraps.

    I/C: Z.Williams, L.Reidy, E.Hollands, C.Chesser, C.Lord

Team Tips: Dashing defender Adam Saad is expected to miss Carlton’s annual blockbuster against Richmond with a low-end hamstring strain, after finishing with just 64 per cent game time in his side’s Opening Round loss to Sydney. While not a like-for-like replacement, his absence could be somewhat negated by the return of Nick Haynes from an ankle injury, though he for now remains an outside chance to come straight back. The in-form Francis Evans (knee) is similarly considered unlikely, but not improbable to be parachuted into the starting 23. The trio of Blake Acres, Lachie Cowan and Matthew Carroll all successfully got through the club’s VFL practice match against Footscray late last week, with the side kicking a wayward 6.22 to ultimately go down by 21 points. It would be stiff to be dropped after just one match, but like most clubs early in the season, it will be intriguing to see if Michael Voss continues to deploy a two-ruck strategy with Liam Reidy as support to Marc Pittonet.

    “RJ Decker” Trailer Released

Disney has released a new trailer for the upcoming original drama series, “RJ Decker”, which will be coming to ABC, Hulu and Disney+ later this year.

Written by Rob Doherty (“Elementary”) and starring Scott Speedman, RJ Decker is a disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con who starts over as a private investigator in the colorful-if-crime-filled world of South Florida. The series follows him tackling cases that range from slightly odd to outright bizarre with the help of his journalist ex, her police detective wife and a shadowy new benefactor — a woman from his past who could be his greatest ally … or his one-way ticket back to prison.

RJ Decker Trailer Teases Scott Speedman's Challenges as Florida Investigator

Grey’s Anatomy’s Scott Speedman is trading medicine for private investigation in his upcoming ABC crime drama RJ Decker.

In Us Weekly’s exclusive first look at the show, Speedman’s RJ calls himself “the sunshine state’s most lovable PI.” The description seems misleading, though, since RJ is then seen getting punched in the face by an exotic dancer.

“Business is booming,” RJ quips. “Turns out, murder never takes a vacation.”

Based on Carl Hiaasen‘s novel Double Whammy, RJ Decker focuses on a disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con who “starts over as a private investigator in the colorful-if-crime-filled world of South Florida, tackling cases that range from slightly odd to outright bizarre, with the help of his journalist ex, her police detective wife and a shadowy new benefactor — a woman from his past who could be his greatest ally … or his one-way ticket back to prison.”
