Preview: Braga vs Porto – prediction, team news, lineups

Both coming off impressive continental results in midweek, Braga and Porto return to Primeira Liga duty this weekend as they lock horns at Estadio Municipal de Braga for matchday 27.

The Archbishops thrashed Ferencvaros 4-0 on Thursday to book their place in the Europa League quarter-finals, while the Dragons also sealed progression in the competition with a 2-0 win against Stuttgart at Estadio do Dragao.

After suffering a 2-0 defeat in the first leg in Budapest, Braga produced a strong response at home, racing into a three-goal lead in the first half before Riccardo Horta completed his brace after the break to seal a 4-2 aggregate success.

Braga vs Porto: Preview, team news, predictions as Sanusi and Moffi get set for tough test with the Dragons

Matchday 27 of the Liga Portugal Betclic 2025–26 brings together two of the most storied clubs in Portuguese football: Braga and Porto.

At the Estádio Municipal de Braga, the Warriors of Minho host a Porto side six points clear at the summit — and Super Eagles players Zaidu Sanusi and Terem Moffi are set to play key roles as Francesco Farioli’s injury-hit Dragons seek to extend their lead in the title race.

Braga arrive buoyed by their progress to the Europa League quarter-finals, overturning a first-leg deficit to thrash Ferencváros 4–0 at the Municipal.

Porto, meanwhile, advanced with a composed 2–0 victory over Stuttgart, keeping their campaign across three fronts on track. Both sides must now manage European fatigue as they meet in a direct league confrontation.

EARLY Game 70: GSW at DET, 4:30pm PT

Long time readers know that APRIBOT is my projection system. It runs on my humble computer and does not run on LLM AIs. Any mistakes it makes are my fault, so could it please stop messing with my retirement fund.

She thinks GSW have a 32% chance of winning! Which seems high since GSW has been bad and DET has been good, and she doesn’t even know DET just lost Cade.

However, the reason it’s even remotely close is: Yes, this is a bad schedule game for GSW (3rd game of a road trip, long flight), but this is even worse for DET, who are flying back from WAS last night for their 3rd game in 4 nights. This is a net 8% win probability loss for DET from the schedule.

Sydney: For Dilrabo Asadova, the key to Uzbekistan’s run to the quarter-finals of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ has been a simple but effective approach – taking things one match at a time.

History-makers Uzbekistan dream big at Women's Asian Cup

History-making Uzbekistan are targeting a major upset against South Korea in the Women's Asian Cup quarter-finals, with coach Kotryna Kulbyte on Friday urging her players to keep dreaming big.

The two sides clash in Sydney on Saturday with direct qualification to the 2027 World Cup in Brazil guaranteed for the winner.

While South Korea — the 2022 Asian runners-up — are making their fourth consecutive appearance in the knockout rounds, it is a first for the Uzbeks.

"There's always the danger of getting too emotional but it's part of the game. If you don't live and appreciate the moment, then there's no point," she said.

Women's Asian Cup tiers: Every participating nation, ranked

With four goals to her name already, ESPN's The Far Post laud Alanna Kennedy's move into the midfield and how her goalscoring is helping the Matildas. (1:40)

The Women's Asian Cup is moving into the knockout stage where 12 teams become eight, and every game is must win. Progression through the tournament isn't the only thing on the line either, with these next few games determining Women's World Cup qualification as well.

But the group stage concluding is the perfect time to assess how every team — still in contention and eliminated — is placed.

Not just a great piece of baseball media, it's the most apt description for Japan so far this tournament. Yes, the context of their group should be noted; they played three games for three wins, three clean sheets, and 17 goals scored. Their FIFA ranking? Eight. Their group opponent with the next closest ranking? Chinese Taipei at 40.

Game Preview: Knicks at Clippers, March 9, 2026

The Knicks look to shake off their Lakers hangover against Kawhi and the Clips.

Yesterday afternoon, the Knicks Knicks (41*-24) laid an egg in Los Angeles against the Lakers. Tonight brings a chance for redemption as they challenge the Clippers (31-32) at the Intuit Dome.

Over their last ten games, both New York and the Clips have gone 6-4. They last met on January 7, when the ‘Bockers won 123-111 on their home court. Jalen Brunson led New York with 26 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns added a 20-11 double-double. Kawhi Leonard paced the Clippers with 25 points.

After starting 6-21, L.A. has gone 25-11, including two wins over Detroit. On the whole, though, they’ve performed to expectation, winning the games they should and dropping the ones they shouldn’t. They still have a bona fide superstar, though: the notoriously unavailable Kawhi Leonard has sprung to life, leading the team with 27.9 points per game on 50/37 shooting splits.

Jalen Brunson, Darius Garland, and 3 Other Underdog Props For Clippers vs. Knicks

The final game of this Monday’s NBA slate will be a contest between the Los Angeles Clippers and the New York Knicks. Here are five of the best player props to take on Underdog Fantasy for the matchup.

Going into Monday night’s matchup against the Clippers, center for the Knicks, Karl-Anthony Towns, has been getting big rebounding outings at a rapid rate. In his last five games, he has had 13 or more rebounds four times. Despite this hit rate on the over for his rebounding prop for Monday, his under is the correct side to take for this prop.

76ers discuss challenge of facing Cavs' James Harden, Donovan Mitchell

CLEVELAND — When the Philadelphia 76ers face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night, they will be looking to get back on the right path following a loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. The Sixers need a win in the worst way as they are now the No. 8 seed in the East as they have fallen into the play-in tournament.

The challenge will be tall. The Sixers will be without Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George as well as possibly VJ Edgecombe who is dealing with a lumbar contusion. Without those three–possibly four–the challenge will already be tough. Throw in the fact that the Cavs now have a dynamic backcourt of James Harden and Donovan Mitchell, and the task gets tougher.

Chinese women's football team officials have praised Newcastle as the perfect location to finalise preparations for their AFC Women's Asian Cup defence, enjoying the city's laid-back lifestyle and rating two of its premier sporting facilities as "world-class".

China spent the past week in Newcastle, training at Darling Street Oval in Hamilton South and No.2 Sportsground in Newcastle West.

On Friday morning, they had a practice hit-out against the Newcastle Jets' A-League Women's side at No.2 Sportsground before relocating to Sydney where they will open their Asian Cup defence against Bangladesh on Wednesday night.

Pistons vs. Heat preview: Detroit looks to stop the bleeding vs. surging Miami

Unclear if Cade Cunningham will suit up for the Pistons against the Heat

The Detroit Pistons enter tonight’s early evening tipoff against the Miami Heat at the lowest point of its season. Perhaps it is great that a low point can consist of uneven play, a winning record in the past 10 games, and the year’s longest losing streak consisting of a paltry three games. But serious Pistons watchers understand that the team is facing several serious issues right now. Things they need to figure out, and fast. Unfortunately, after Saturday’s embarrassing loss to the Brooklyn Nets, Detroit now faces a comfortable and surging Heat team. Miami has won seven of nine and is in the middle of a comfy eight-game stretch that features just one road game — a quick jaunt to Charlotte, where they beat the Hornets.

Detroit vs Miami Picks: Side and Total Betting Predictions

RBD analyzes Detroit in a Game two B2B spot and uncovers betting value on both the side and total in the Pistons vs Heat matchup.

Unfortunately I have no T1 Overs (37-21, 63%) to play today, but I have some interesting numbers on the Pistons/Heat game.
Detroit heads to Miami to play in the Game two of B2B’s spot.
And I’m putting my money down on a side and total in this one.

Detroit is 8-1 SU in Game two’s so they’ve obviously got a good bench that can help spread the minutes around so the starters don’t get tired from being overplayed.

Mavericks vs Raptors Preview and Injury Update: It’s been a while, Toronto

The Dallas Mavericks (21-42) start the second half of this road trip, playing the Toronto Raptors (35-27) on Sunday afternoon at the odd start time of 5:00 pm CST. Toss in the start of Daylight Savings Time and I expect both teams to be out of sorts. Dallas is riding a six-game losing streak, falling Friday to the Boston Celtics in a big way. The Raptors have lost four of their last five and need to find some consistency.

Dallas has a more reasonable injury report compared to the past several games. The two-way guys are all out. Cooper Flagg is questionable with his ankle/foot injury he aggravated against the Celtics. Marvin Bagley is as well after being out since the Sacramento Kings game with a neck sprain. Dwight Powell is listed as probable with an injury I don’t remember him getting. Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington don’t carry any designations, a rarity this season given the ankle issues both have had.
