Spurs 110-107 Raptors (26 Feb, 2026) Game Recap

TORONTO — — Devin Vassell scored 21 points, De’Aaron Fox added 20 and the San Antonio Spurs overcame Victor Wembanyama’s rough night to beat the Toronto Raptors 110-107 on Wednesday, extending their season-best win streak to 10 games.

Wembanyama scored 12 points on 3-of-12 shooting. He went 1 for 6 from 3-point range and 5 for 6 at the free-throw line, where his lone miss came with 8.7 seconds left in regulation and his team ahead by three.

Toronto’s Brandon Ingram missed a 3 that would have tied the game, and Wembanyama grabbed the rebound.

Wembanyama finished with eight boards and three assists in 30 minutes. He also had five blocks, including a pivotal one on Jakob Poeltl with 44 seconds left.

Game Preview: San Antonio Spurs at Toronto Raptors

The Raptors are another formidable team that will present challenges because of their size.

Every game after the All-Star break feels like it carries more weight, especially for a team that is within striking distance of the first seed, and another that can still secure home-court advantage in the first round.

The San Antonio Spurs are the hottest team in the NBA with nine straight wins, five of which have come on the road. They may not be champions, but they have a target on their backs because of their talent and the noise they’ve made so far.

This will be the second and final matchup between these teams, with the Spurs having claimed the first in San Antonio on Oct. 27 without their All-Star point guard. Similar to the Spurs, the Toronto Raptors are tough to cover because they move the ball well and average a low time of possession and seconds per touch.

Tudor agrees deal to become Spurs' interim boss

Igor Tudor has agreed a deal to become Tottenham interim head coach until the end of the season.

Thomas Frank was sacked earlier this week, with Spurs five points above the relegation places.

Sources told BBC Sport that Spurs wanted an interim manager in place for the players' return to training on Monday.

Tudor has been out of work since being sacked by Juventus in October 2025 following an eight-match winless run, leaving the club eighth in Serie A.

The 47-year-old has had a varied managerial career, having had stints at Lazio, Marseille, Galatasaray and Udinese among others.

BBC Sport understands Tudor's experience of making an immediate impact at previous clubs was a contributing factor to his appointment.

Tottenham are finalizing the appointment of Igor Tudor as interim head coach until the end of the season, sources have told ESPN.

Talks progressed quickly in the past 24 hours as Spurs accelerated their search following Thomas Frank's sacking on Monday after just eight months in charge.

Sources have told ESPN that Tottenham looked at a small pool of candidates and identified Tudor as a leading option given his vast head coaching experience, which most recently included a seven-month spell at Juventus.

Mitch Johnson says 2-seed Spurs should've had more All-Stars

You have reached ESPN's Australian edition. Stay on current site or go to US version.

LOS ANGELES — Nobody asked San Antonio Spurs coach Mitch Johnson for his opinion about his team having only a single All-Star, but he offered his take anyway during his pregame media availability Tuesday night.

"I do think it's very interesting that De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle have not been named an All-Star," Johnson said at the end of his media session before the Spurs' road game against the Los Angeles Lakers. "So I'll answer that question that wasn't asked. But seven teams in this league have multiple All-Stars, and we've played pretty good against a lot of the top teams in this league."

Victor Wembanyama just put Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game on notice with monster 1st quarter

We see players have explosive starts to NBA games, but Victor Wembanyama does truly unprecedented things every game for the Spurs.

His latest unbelievable feat came in the first quarter against the Lakers on Monday night, as he's somehow on pace to match an unbeatable Wilt Chamberlain record that every NBA fan has heard of.

In just 7:59 minutes of game time, Wemby was able to record 25 points to start the game.

This happened in the first quarter, which means he is on pace for exactly 100 points, which was famously done by Wilt Chamberlain decades ago.

A 25-point quarter seems like it has to be close to record territory, but Klay Thompson had a 37-point quarter a few years back.

Spurs 135-123 Mavericks (6 Feb, 2026) Game Recap

DALLAS — — Victor Wembanyama had 29 points and 11 rebounds, and the San Antonio Spurs overcame rookie No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg's fourth consecutive 30-point game in a 135-123 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.

Flagg scored 32 points to extend his NBA record for consecutive games with at least 30 points by a teenager. The 19-year-old joined Michael Jordan, Bernard King, Allen Iverson and Jalen Green as the only rookies to score at least 30 in four straight games since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976-77.

Dallas lost all four games and is on a six-game losing streak, its longest of the season.

Harrison Barnes was another of seven San Antonio players in double figures with 19 points, and De'Aaron Fox scored 17 points while pushing through a rough shooting night with two clutch 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. The second came on Wembanyama's sixth assist and gave the Spurs a 131-123 lead with 1:24 remaining.

Mavs' Cooper Flagg joins Jordan in history with latest 30-point game

Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg produced another 30-point game on Thursday and joined some Hall of Famers in the history books following the performance.

Flagg produced 32 points, six rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots and two steals in a 135-123 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. He went 14-of-27 from the field, including 2-of-5 from 3-point range, in 38 minutes, 32 seconds of work.

The No. 1 overall pick joined Bernard King, Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson and Jalen Green as the only rookies since the merger to record at least 30 points in four or more straight games. He is the youngest player in history to accomplish that feat (19 years, 46 days).

Cooper Flagg stuffs the stat sheet Thursday night

Cooper Flagg finished with 32 points (14-27 FG, 2-5 3PT, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and two steals in Thursday's loss to the Spurs.

Flagg just continues to light up the scoreboard, as Thursday's 32 are actually the lowest total in his last four games. In that span, the star rookie has averaged a ridiculous 37.8 points per game to go with 9.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.8 blocks.

Thunder 119-98 Spurs (14 Jan, 2026) Game Recap

OKLAHOMA CITY — — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points, and the defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder beat San Antonio 119-98 on Tuesday night to earn their first win in four tries against the Spurs this season.

Jalen Williams added 20 points and Chet Holmgren chipped in eight points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for Oklahoma City. The Thunder improved to a league-best 34-7 at the midway point of the season — on pace to match last season’s 68-14 regular-season finish.

Stephon Castle scored 20 points and Victor Wembanyama added 17 points and seven rebounds for the Spurs.

San Antonio started the night in second place behind Oklahoma City in the Western Conference standings. The Spurs announced their presence as a title contender with the three wins over the Thunder in a two-week span last month, but now they have lost six of 10.

‘Not our Super Bowl’: Reigning MVP’s defiant call in Thunder’s crucial drought-breaking Spurs win

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder snapped a three-game losing streak against the San Antonio Spurs with a 119-98 victory over their Western Conference rivals on Tuesday.

San Antonio have been the NBA champions’ bogey team this season, winning all three of their previous meetings last month with a series of wins that hinted at a tilt in the balance of power in the West.

But the Thunder’s potent offence and stifling defense finally got the upper hand over the Victor Wembanyama-led Spurs at Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center.

It’s our first home match of 2026 on Sunday afternoon as we take on Sunderland in the Premier League.

It’s an unusual start time for a Sunday match this weekend – kick-off is at 3pm UK time.

The match will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Football. Supporters based overseas should check our Spurs on TV page to see if the game is live in your area.

As always, our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app will bring you full live text and audio commentary throughout the game.

Video highlights will be available across club channels from two hours after the full-time whistle, with a full match replay available on SPURSPLAY from midnight.

Tottenham vs Sunderland predictions: Chris Sutton on Premier League game

I'm not sure if Sunderland will have anything left in the tank after their efforts against Manchester City on Thursday.

It was another example of why they have done so well – they defended brilliantly, but they were dangerous when they got the ball and they could have beaten City too.

Mind you, Tottenham are so drab at the moment that it probably won't matter too much if the Black Cats are low on energy.

Sunderland are always so well-organised at the back, while I don't think Spurs, in an attacking sense, have really clicked this season.

Tottenham will be exhausted as well so I don't see many goals in this one – in fact, I don't see any at all.

Tottenham team confirmed vs Sunderland – Mathys Tel and Ben Davies start

Thomas Frank has made two changes to his Tottenham team as they welcome Sunderland in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The drab draw at Brentford saw Frank being booed into the new year by the travelling Tottenham fans as he approached them to applaud their efforts. The supporters had sung 'boring, boring Tottenham' during the encounter and chanted for former players and managers throughout another dull performance, albeit with a second clean sheet in a row.

The need for a more adventurous performance at home has seen Frank move away from the more defensive Rodrigo Bentancur and Joao Palhinha partnership in the centre of the pitch.

The Athletic: Victor Wembanyama and the ‘ethical’ Spurs have earned the right to raise the bar

In praising the Spurs' 'ethical basketball,' Wembanyama made a statement that said more about his team's progress than any opponent.

Editor’s Note: Read more NBA coverage from The Athletic here. The views on this page do not necessarily reflect the views of the NBA or its teams.

LAS VEGAS — How do you define ethics? A subjective measurement of what’s right and what’s wrong, it’s entered the NBA lexicon over the last year as opponents and fans have lobbed complaints of foul baiting and overtly scrappy defense at the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder.

Winning a title requires grit, determination and a willingness to push core principles to their limits. Whatever you may think of the Thunder’s approach to winning, it’s working to historic proportions.

Chet Holmgren Sounds Off On Victor Wembanyama 'Rivalry' Label; Says They Never Speak To Each Other

Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama are two young bigs with the potential to become future Hall of Famers in the NBA. But it seems the league was very quick to label them as rivals.

In the initial phase of their careers, they embraced it as a challenge. But a recent fact has come to light that would make anyone question whether or not this truly is a rivalry.

Chet Holmgren was recently interviewed by ESPN’s Malika Andrews, where he addressed his rivalry with Victor Wembanyama.

“I don’t think it’s ever been up to players or teams to declare rivalries. So, you’re asking the wrong person,” said Holmgren on whether he considers it a rivalry.

Victor Wembanyama hating the Thunder is so great for the NBA

If there's one man who could prevent the juggernaut Oklahoma City Thunder from having an extended "super" dynasty, it's Victor Wembanyama. That is not meant as disrespect to someone like Nikola Jokić. But as he turns 31 years old this February, he, a resurgent Jamal Murray, and the rest of the Denver Nuggets will realistically only duel with the Thunder for the NBA's crown for a few more years. They're a worthy adversary, but they won't be a roadblock the Thunder will have to overcome indefinitely.

It's different with Wembanyama. I don't just say that because he won't even be "feeling 22" until this January. I say it because his ceiling as a potential all-time talent — a 7-foot-4 basketball demon who shoots well from the 3-point line at volume and who could be the best rim protector ever at the same time — feels so untapped. I say it because we're likely only still scratching the surface of what Wembanyama can be at his absolute best. (Also, he might literally still be growing: height-wise, I mean.) The same sentiment applies to his burgeoning, upstart San Antonio Spurs, who are quickly learning how to win while building a culture that can last.

PSG vs. Tottenham: Archie Gray starts as Thomas Frank shuffles pack

You have reached ESPN's Australian edition. Stay on current site or go to US version.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank has rung the changes for his team's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday following Spurs' north London derby defeat at the weekend.

Lucas Bergvall, Pape Matar Sarr, Archie Gray, Pedro Porro and Randal Kolo Muani were all named in the starting XI as Kevin Danso, Destiny Udogie, João Palhinha, Mohammed Kudus and Wilson Odobert dropped out.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs will line up in an experimental 4-2-2-2 formation with Gray in midfield or in Frank's controversial 3-5-2 which came under heavy criticism following the team's meek defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates.
