Suns Hit With Devastating Injury News Before Game 2 vs Thunder

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns could reportedly be down three key pieces for tonight's Game 2 matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Arizona Sports insider John Gambadoro reported on X that he's "not feeling good" about all three of Jordan Goodwin (left calf soreness), Grayson Allen (left hamstring strain) and Mark Williams (left foot third metatarsal stress reaction) playing tonight against OKC after they were all originally listed as questionable.

UPDATE: Goodwin and Williams have officially been ruled out, while Allen is availble, but he has not played the last two games despite being active for them.

Not feeling good about the Suns 3 injured guys (Grayson Allen, Mark Williams and Jordan Goodwin) playing today in OKC.

Suns Notes: Williams, Allen, Goodwin, Ott, Brooks

Suns center Mark Williams, who missed 15 games in March due to a third metatarsal stress reaction in his left foot, sat out last Friday’s play-in game vs. Golden State and Sunday’s Game 1 against Oklahoma City due to what the team called left foot soreness. According to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic, Williams was wearing a walking boot at the Suns’ facility on Tuesday.

However, when head coach Jordan Ott was asked on Tuesday if Williams would be ruled out for the rest of the first-round series, he said the club is “just continuing to take it day-by-day,” per Rankin. And the Suns’ injury report doesn’t suggest they’re necessarily expecting a lengthy absence for the big man — he’s considered questionable to suit up on Wednesday for Game 2.

Suns' Grayson Allen: Good to go Wednesday

Allen will shed his questionable tag and be available for a third straight game, though he didn't appear in either of the last two. The veteran wing could see increased playing time Wednesday due to Jordan Goodwin (calf) being sidelined.

Jalen Green Injury: Iffy for Friday

Green was unable to return to Wednesday's game after picking up a knee injury, so the fact that he's been upgraded to questionable ahead of Friday's tilt is a promising sign. The team will presumably monitor him closely in shootaround and warmups to determine whether he can step onto the court in LA.

Gold Coast and Western Bulldogs look to maintain the last remaining 100 per cent records in the AFL, as they take on the Demons at the MCG and the Bombers at Docklands.

The Suns — boosted by the return of Brownlow medallist Matt Rowell — go in as favourites against Melbourne after three 50-point plus wins to start the season.

Meanwhile the Bulldogs' attacking ability has seen them win on the road against Brisbane and Adelaide to vie for premiership favouritism.

The Suns went forward early, Lachie Gulbin kicked long from the wing, and Ben King took a clean grab near the square.

Timberwolves 116-104 Suns (18 Mar, 2026) Game Recap

MINNEAPOLIS — — Julius Randle scored 32 points and Bones Hyland had 22 points off the bench to help the Minnesota Timberwolves offset the absence of All-Star Anthony Edwards and beat the Phoenix Suns 116-104 on Tuesday night.

Ayo Dosunmu added 19 points and Rudy Gobert had 19 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who are 7-4 without Edwards this season. The NBA 's third-leading scorer will miss the next week or two with knee inflammation.

Devin Booker scored 34 points despite shooting 1 for 7 from 3-point range for the Suns, who finished a five-game road trip with their third straight loss.

After losing 120-112 in Boston the night before, the Suns played without three of their top five scorers as Grayson Allen (knee soreness) joined the previously sidelined Dillon Brooks and Mark Williams.

Suns keep on leaking in 3rd straight loss vs. Timberwolves

The Phoenix Suns (39-30) are a leaking ship, and that’s not to say they will sink to the bottom of the sea, but they cannot plug up all of their current holes at once.

Even while fixing some of the recent issues, others persisted in a 116-104 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Phoenix has now lost three games in a row. Since Feb. 1, it has been worse in lots of key metrics, and is now 9-11 over that span.

Whether you think it’s more injury related or the Suns hitting a wall in regard to overcoming the limitations of the roster, this is the worst basketball they have played this season and it’s not particularly close.

Suns injury update. Key player close to re-evaluation before road trip

The Phoenix Suns enter the finale of their three-game homestand March 8 against the Charlotte Hornets down three players due to injury.

Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture), Jordan Goodwin (left calf strain) and Mark Williams (left foot third metatarsal stress reaction) have been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

Goodwin is due for a re-evaluation early next week. The Suns announced Feb. 24 that he’d re-evaluated in one to two weeks.

Phoenix (36-27) begins a six-game road trip March 10 against the Milwaukee Bucks (26-35).

Phoenix is two games behind the Los Angeles Lakers (38-25) for sixth in the West. The Suns own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Lakers.

Suns vs. Kings odds, prediction, spread, time: 2026 NBA picks for Tuesday, March 3 from proven model

The Phoenix Suns are finally back in action on Tuesday after a four-day break to take on the sputtering Sacramento Kings. The Suns beat the Lakers 113-110 at home, while the Kings lost to the same Lakers 128-104 on Sunday. Phoenix is 34-26 overall and seventh in the Western Conference with 22 games remaining, while Sacramento is 14-48 overall and is the 15-seed in the East.

Tipoff from Golden 1 Center is set for 11 p.m. ET. Phoenix is a 9.5-point favorite, while the over/under is 223.5 in the latest Suns vs. Kings odds. Before making any Kings vs. Suns picks, check out the NBA predictions and betting advice from the SportsLine Projection Model.

How to watch Phoenix Suns at Sacramento Kings: TV, live stream info for Tuesday’s throwback game

NBC’s Coast 2 Coast Tuesday is going to have a distinct, vintage 1990s vibe this week, and that is coming to Sacramento.

That’s because for the game between the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings — a game where Devin Booker is set to make his return from a hip injury — NBC is bringing back some components from the 1995-96 NBA on NBC season, including feature graphics package (score bar, stats, full pages, replay wipes, etc.) and tape elements.

The second game of NBC’s Tuesday night doubleheader will feature a Phoenix team that is one of the best stories of the NBA season, a team that revamped its roster and culture and started winning way ahead of schedule. Well, at least until recently, when injuries hit hard, which is why the Suns head into Tuesday trying to get back into a winning groove and move up into the top six in the West

The Sacramento Kings are back in action tonight: an ungodly 11PM ET tipoff vs the Suns.

Who: Sacramento Kings (14-48) vs. Phoenix Suns (34-26)
Where: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, CA
When: 8:00 PM PT / 11:00 PM ET
    Watch: Peacock!

Peacock won’t be getting their money’s worth with this one, but basketball must be played. The Phoenix Suns are one of the NBA’s most surprising success stories this season (although they haven’t been playing their best recently), and I expect them to roll over the Kings tonight despite the fact that they will be without DeMar DeRozan’s biggest hater, Dillon Brooks.

PHOENIX — — Derrick White scored 22 points, Neemias Queta had 14 points and 13 rebounds, and the Boston Celtics used a big third quarter to beat the Phoenix Suns 97-81 on Tuesday night.

Sam Hauser shot 6 for 14, including 4 for 10 from 3-point range, to add 16 points and the Celtics — playing without All-Star Jaylen Brown (right knee contusion) — won their fourth in a row and for the ninth time in their last 10 games.

Collin Gillespie had 15 points and Grayson Allen scored 14 as the Suns lost for the fourth time in their last five games. The Suns played without their top two scorers, Devin Booker (right hip strain) and Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture), who combined average nearly 46 points per game.

Jaylen Brown injury update: Celtics rule out star guard vs. Suns due to knee contusion

The Boston Celtics won't have star guard Jaylen Brown when they take on the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. Brown was ruled out of the contest due to a right knee contusion, the team announced.

Brown's injury came to light Monday, when the team listed him as questionable on the injury report due to the issue. Upon further examination, Brown will be held out Tuesday.

He did not show signs of an injury during Sunday's game, which the team won 111-89 over the Los Angeles Lakers. Brown played 36 minutes in that contest, scoring 32 points, which led the Celtics.

Brown, 29, is in the midst of his finest season as a pro. Through 51 games, Brown is averaging a career-high 29.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.

PHOENIX — Portland Trail Blazers All-Star guard Deni Avdija left Sunday's 92-77 win against the Phoenix Suns because of a lower back injury.

Avdija was listed as questionable coming into the game but decided to play. He lasted just one minute before leaving the court and going back to the locker room.

Avdija — who has been battling lower back issues for weeks — came into the night averaging 25 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists.

Avdija Exits Early Versus Suns With Back Issue

Portland Trail Blazers All-Star Deni Avdija’s attempt to suit up against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night only lasted 59 seconds of game action.

On Portland’s second offensive possession in Phoenix, Avdija’s back appeared to lock up again after he backed down Suns guard Ryan Dunn in the post and passed the ball out to Donovan Clingan. There was minimal contact on the play, but Avdija immediately reached for his lower back in noticeable discomfort and walked toward the Blazers bench as the Suns went down the floor on offense. Portland forward Jerami Grant committed an intentional foul to stop play, and Avdija checked out at the 11:01 mark of the first quarter.

Game Preview: Suns take on the Magic for the first time this season

The Phoenix Suns look to dust the rust off heading back home after a disappointing loss to the San Antonio Spurs the other day. Both teams coming into this contest have injuries to consider: in the previous contest, Devin Booker exited the game and did not return due to hip soreness.
