Suns' Dillon Brooks: Exits with hand injury

Brooks went to the locker room during the first quarter of Saturday's game against the Magic due to a left hand injury, Hayden Cilley of ClutchPoints reports.

Brooks appeared to be clutching at his left hand/wrist, and he has been taken to the locker room to undergo further tests to determine whether he can return to Saturday's contest. Jordan Goodwin and Grayson Allen should both see more minutes off the bench for as long as Brooks is out of the game.

Dillon Brooks Leaves Suns vs Magic With Injury

PHOENIX — Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks has exited action at Mortgage Matchup Center.

Brooks left action late in the first quarter against the Orlando Magic with what appeared to be thumb injury, according to the team's broadcast. Orlando led Phoenix 25-21 at the end of the first.

Brooks is averaging a career high 21.1 points per game this season and has emerged as a key part of Phoenix's resurge as an aggressively physical team on both ends of the floor.

The Suns, with Devin Booker out, need Brooks' presence to pair with Jalen Green on the court. Brooks left action with five points and three rebounds.

Dillon Brooks Exit Threatens Suns’ Short-Handed Rotation and Physical Identity

Immediate impact landed on Phoenix’s rotation when dillon brooks left Saturday’s game early with a hand concern. With the team already missing a key scorer, his departure removes a primary source of physical defense and perimeter scoring that the Suns have relied on this season. The timing matters: Phoenix now has to adjust rotations and on-court roles in a game where aggressiveness was supposed to be renewed.

Brooks’ early departure shifts pressure onto remaining wings and perimeter creators, particularly the on-court partner the Suns had planned to pair him with. The pairing was meant to restore an aggressive, physical identity on both ends of the floor; losing Brooks undermines that immediate plan and forces coaching staff to reallocate minutes. The Suns’ pre-game emphasis on returning to a physical brand makes the loss more than a single-game setback—it knocks the team off a short-term blueprint for matchups when other starters are unavailable.

PHOENIX — — Jalen Williams scored 28 points, Isaiah Joe added 21 and the hot-shooting Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a 136-109 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.

Oklahoma City led by at least 20 points for the entire second half, pushing the advantage to 37 in the third. Williams shot 11 of 12 from the field and added five assists and four rebounds. Joe made 6 of 8 3-pointers.

Kenrich Williams added 15 points and Chet Holmgren had 13. The defending champion Thunder — who have won four of six — shot 58.4% from the field and got 74 points from players coming off the bench.

Dillon Brooks led the Suns with 23 points. Royce O'Neale and Jordan Goodwin both added 12.

Devin Booker, Jalen Green out for Suns-Thunder

Phoenix Suns guards Devin Booker (right ankle injury management) and Jalen Green (right hamstring injury management) are both listed as out for Wednesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Additionally, Grayson Allen (right knee sprain), Isaiah Livers (left shoulder sprain) and Cole Anthony (not with team) are out. Both Allen and Livers will be reevaluated after the NBA All-Star break.

Jalen Green (hamstring) questionable for Wednesday

Jalen Green (hamstring) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. (NBA Injury Report)

Green has recently been back in the lineup for Phoenix after missing much of the season due to a hamstring injury. The team may let him sit out on Wednesday night, however, to manage his workload and prevent him from re-aggravating his injury. If that's the case, look for Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin to benefit from his absence.

Suns provide injury updates on Booker, Green ahead of Blazers game

Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker has been ruled out of Tuesday’s game, Feb. 3, against the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center, while Jalen Green is listed as questionable.

The Suns (30-20) weren't scheduled to practice Feb. 2 on their travel day.

Booker missed the entire five-game homestand after suffering a right ankle sprain Jan. 23 against the Atlanta Hawks to end a six-game road trip.

"Book is making tremendous progress," Suns coach Jordan Ott said before Sunday's 117-93 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. "Obviously been on the court multiple times. Trending in a good spot."

Booker was due for a re-evaluation of the sprained right ankle this past weekend.

Discuss Trail Blazers vs. Suns Action Here!

The Portland Trail Blazers will face the team they wanted to be this season when the Phoenix Suns come to the Moda Center for an 8:00 PM, Pacific matchup tonight. Portland planned on being the team that everyone underestimated this season who broke through to the playoffs. Instead the Blazers are nursing a sub-.500 record while the Suns, at 30-20, are the darlings of the conference. Perhaps Portland can eat into that impression—and the gap between them—tonight.

Either way, you can talk about the action here! Here’s the critical info you’ll need as the game starts:

Phoenix Suns (30-20) at Portland Trail Blazers (23-27) Tues., Feb. 3 – 8pm Pacific

Devin Booker (ankle) ruled out Tuesday

Phoenix Suns head coach Jordan Ott said Sunday that Booker is making tremendous progress, noting he has been on the court multiple times and is trending in a good spot, even skipping steps in his recovery timeline. Despite the positive update, Booker will sit out Tuesday’s game, with his next opportunity to play coming Thursday against the Golden State Warriors. In his absence, Collin Gillespie and Grayson Allen should continue to see extended minutes, while Dillon Brooks is expected to see an uptick in usage.

Phoenix Suns provide major injury update on Jalen Green

Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green is set to return from a right hamstring injury against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, Jan. 30, at Mortgage Matchup Center in the second of a back-to-back.

This will be Green’s fifth game with the Suns in his first season with the franchise. Phoenix acquired Green from the Houston Rockets in the Kevin Durant deal before the 2025 draft.

Phoenix is 3-1 in the four games Green has played. The 23-year-old guard played in every game in his previous two seasons with the Rockets.

Green is averaging a career-low 11.8 points with the Suns after averaging 20.1 points in his four seasons with the Rockets. He was the second overall pick in the 2021 draft.

Winners and Losers: Cavs at Suns – Jarrett Allen a lone positive in blowout loss

The Cleveland Cavaliers started their Western Conference road trip with a dud, losing 126-113 to the Phoenix Suns.

There’s nothing more frustrating than watching your team throw the ball away carelessly. The Cavs had 15 turnovers in the first half, which is more than their average for an entire game this season. Most of those turnovers were simple miscommunications or passes thrown way off the mark.

Lonzo Ball handed it straight to the Suns just moments after checking into the game. De’Andre Hunter sailed an outlet pass 12 feet above Thomas Bryant’s head. Donovan Mitchell dribbled it off his own foot or coughed it up to a defender for 7 turnovers in the first half. Just to name a few.

Suns 99-98 Warriors (19 Dec, 2025) Game Recap

PHOENIX — — Jordan Goodwin made the go-ahead free throw with 0.4 seconds left, Devin Booker scored 23 of his 25 points in the second half and the Phoenix Suns escaped with a 99-98 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.

Stephen Curry hit two free throws to tie it at 98 with 21.7 seconds left, setting up the Suns' final possession. Dillon Brooks missed badly on a 3-pointer, but Goodwin was there for the rebound and got fouled on the putback attempt.

Goodwin missed the first free throw, but made the second. Brooks had 24 points, and Collin Gillespie added 16.

The teams will complete the home-and-home set Saturday in San Francisco.

Suns-Warriors updates. Draymond ejected, Phoenix leads heated 1st half

SAN FRANCISCO — The Phoenix Suns were unable to pull out another close one over Golden State, falling 119-116 Satruday night, Dec. 20, before a sellout crowd of 18,064 at Chase Center.

Down three, Phoenix failed to execute its last play as Royce O'Neale mishandled a pass from Collin Gillespie. Devin Booker retrieved the ball, but had to heave a 3 at the buzzer.

The Warriors (14-15) snapped a three-game losing streak in beating the Suns (15-13), who dropped to 0-2 at Chase Center this season.

Warriors vs. Suns Prediction: Preview, Injury Report, Advantages

The Golden State Warriors host the Phoenix Suns at Chase Center, with the game set for 5:30 PM.

This one comes with instant baggage. The Suns just stole a 99-98 win a couple nights ago, capped by a last-second free throw, so now the Warriors get the immediate revenge spot at home.

In the standings, the Suns are 15-12 and sit seventh in the Western Conference, while the Warriors are 13-15 and sit ninth.

If you want the star headline, it’s simple. Stephen Curry is at 29.6 points per game for the Warriors, and Devin Booker is at 25.1 points per game for the Suns.

Phoenix Suns Add Superstar Forward in Wild Trade Proposal

The Phoenix Suns decided to end the Kevin Durant experiment over the summer. They decided to trade him to the Houston Rockets. It was an acknowledgement that things were not working out between the team and the star forward.

Since making that trade, the Suns have started playing much better basketball. Right now, they sit seventh in the Western Conference standings. They seem to have better chemistry for whatever reason. Yet, they have some ammunition to make a bigger trade if they want.

One wild trade proposal from Bleacher Report has the Suns making a big trade for Zion Williamson.

Why The Phoenix Suns Should Take A Risk And Acquire Zion Williamson

The Phoenix Suns underwent a massive shift this offseason. By trading Kevin Durant and waiving Bradley Beal, the Suns effectively ended their “Big Three” era, opting instead to retool around Devin Booker. Although this put them in a position to be perceived as one of the weaker teams in the Western Conference, the team has surpassed expectations.

With a 14-12 record, the Phoenix Suns are currently placed seventh in the Western Conference standings. Given that they are only 2.5 games outside of the Minnesota Timberwolves in sixth place, the Suns could realistically assert themselves as a playoff contender this season.

Keeping their position in mind, the Suns could take an alternative approach to the season and commit to securing a playoff berth. To facilitate this, Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley presented a swap deal, sending Zion Williamson to the Suns in exchange for Jalen Green.
