Avery Krumme grew up in Squamish, British Columbia, immersed in the region's commitment to the slopes and devoted ski community. From an early age, she demonstrated an exceptional ability to spin in all four directions, an uncommon skill for someone so young that caught the attention of coaches on the competitive circuit.

Krumme's competitive career gained momentum on the Canadian circuit, where she consistently earned podium finishes in both slopestyle and big air events. During the 2023-24 season, she captured two gold medals and three silver medals across Canada Cup competitions in the Yukon, Sun Peaks and Horseshoe Valley, Ontario. Her breakthrough came at the 2024 FIS Junior World Championships in Livigno, Italy, where she earned bronze in women's slopestyle. Australia heads into the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina (and Livigno) with arguably its strongest team in history.

This season alone, 11 different Australians have won a total of 26 medals at World Cup level across seven different sporting disciplines.

That doesn't even include the two X Games medals won by Scotty James and Indra Brown in Aspen last week.

Thirteen of those World Cup medals have been gold, while three Aussies — Jakara Anthony, Brown and Adam Lambert — currently wear the yellow bib as leaders of their respective World Cup standings.

Taking their lead from their summer counterparts, Australia's 2026 Winter team are set to be remembered as the most successful ever as the Olympic Games get under way in Italy.

Australians brought home a record haul of 18 gold medals among 53 in total from Paris in 2024, and the Winter crew have similarly lofty ambitions in Milan-Cortina, albeit on a smaller scale.

Four years ago in Beijing, the Australian team won a record four medals, including gold by moguls superstar Jakara Anthony.

Snowboard king Scotty James and skeleton veteran Jackie Narracott both bagged silver, and Tess Coady pocketed a snowboard slopestyle bronze.

Fulham boss Marco Silva is unsurprised by Dominic Calvert-Lewin's resurgence in front of goal as he prepares to be reunited with the Leeds United striker on Saturday.

Calvert-Lewin's purple patch in front of goal has helped steer Leeds eight points clear of the relegation zone, with the striker scoring nine goals in 19 Premier League outings.

Indeed, his total is only bettered by Antoine Semenyo (10), Igor Thiago (16) and Erling Haaland (20), but his potential was something Silva saw first-hand earlier in his managerial career.

During his time at Everton, Calvert-Lewin appeared 54 times in all competitions under Silva, netting 13 goals, with only Gylfi Sigurdsson (16) and Richarlison (21) scoring more for the Toffees in that time.

It was another example of why they have done so well – they defended brilliantly, but they were dangerous when they got the ball and they could have beaten City too.

Mind you, Tottenham are so drab at the moment that it probably won't matter too much if the Black Cats are low on energy.

Sunderland are always so well-organised at the back, while I don't think Spurs, in an attacking sense, have really clicked this season.

Tottenham will be exhausted as well so I don't see many goals in this one – in fact, I don't see any at all.
