Thunder 100-87 Mavericks (2 Mar, 2026) Game Recap

DALLAS — — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 points, Chet Holmgren had 19 points and nine rebounds and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Dallas Mavericks 100-87 on Sunday night.

Gilgeous-Alexander has scored at least 20 points in 59 consecutive road games, the longest streak in NBA history. The reigning NBA MVP played his second game after missing nine because of an abdominal strain.

The defending champion Thunder are 47-15, a half-game behind Detroit for the NBA lead. They have a three-game lead in West over second-place San Antonio.

The Mavericks, with star rookie Cooper Flagg among three regular starters sidelined, were held to a season low in points and saw the NBA’s longest active streak of triple-digit games end at 41. They are 21-39.

What channel is Thunder vs Mavericks on TV tonight? Time, NBA schedule, injury report

The OKC Thunder will face the Dallas Mavericks on the road at 7 p.m. CST Sunday.

OKC (46-15) outlasted the Denver Nuggets for a 127-121 overtime home win on Friday. The Thunder has won four of its last five games.

Dallas (21-38) suffered a 124-105 home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. The Mavericks will be without Cooper Flagg due to a left midfoot sprain.

Here's everything you need to know about Sunday's game between the Thunder and Mavericks:

OKC earned a big win over Denver on Friday, and I expect that momentum to carry over when it faces a depleted Dallas team on the road Sunday. The Mavericks will be without leading scorer Cooper Flagg, who's averaging 20.4 points this season, and plenty of other key contributors are listed as either questionable or doubtful. This should be a convincing victory for the Thunder.

Three Stars Set to Sit Out OKC Thunder vs. Mavericks

On Friday evening, the Oklahoma City Thunder got one of its biggest wins of the season, taking down the Denver Nuggets in a game that saw Luguentz Dort ejected, and reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sit the overtime period due to an essential minutes restriction.

After facing off against a newly-found rival in Denver, the Thunder will now pivot to a former rival in the Mavericks on Sunday evening.

The two teams faced off in round two of the postseason two years ago, but Dallas looks drastically different following a series of trades. What would've once been an incredibly tough game for OKC now looks more manageable with the Mavericks pivoting toward the 2026 NBA Draft.

PODCAST: Reason for OKC Thunder Optimism Given Start After Break?

The latest Uncontested episode is a celebration of what makes the Thunder dangerous in April: even when the headliners are out, the identity holds.

The crew opens by unpacking Oklahoma City’s 121-113 win over Cleveland, a game that felt like a statement because it came without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Alex Caruso. The hosts point to two early drivers of the result: a blistering three-point night (50%) and a first-quarter tone-setting stretch where OKC turned Cleveland’s sloppy possessions into instant offense. The takeaway isn’t just “hot shooting,” it’s that the Thunder’s defensive pressure creates the kind of chaos that can manufacture points when the half-court offense is missing its usual engines.

Thunder remain without SGA, Jalen Williams in return from All-Star break

You have reached ESPN's Australian edition. Stay on current site or go to US version.

The defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder will open the post-break portion of the schedule without injured stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams.

Gilgeous-Alexander (abdominal strain) will be reevaluated in approximately one week and Williams (right hamstring strain) in approximately two weeks, the team announced Thursday.

Key reserve guard Ajay Mitchell, who sprained his left ankle over the All-Star break while rehabbing from an abdominal strain, will also be reevaluated in approximately one week.

Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning MVP, missed the past five games before the break after suffering his abdominal strain on Feb. 3. Oklahoma City has four games in the next week.

Thunder 136-109 Suns (12 Feb, 2026) Game Recap

PHOENIX — — Jalen Williams scored 28 points, Isaiah Joe added 21 and the hot-shooting Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a 136-109 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.

Oklahoma City led by at least 20 points for the entire second half, pushing the advantage to 37 in the third. Williams shot 11 of 12 from the field and added five assists and four rebounds. Joe made 6 of 8 3-pointers.

Kenrich Williams added 15 points and Chet Holmgren had 13. The defending champion Thunder — who have won four of six — shot 58.4% from the field and got 74 points from players coming off the bench.

Dillon Brooks led the Suns with 23 points. Royce O'Neale and Jordan Goodwin both added 12.

Devin Booker, Jalen Green out for Suns-Thunder

Phoenix Suns guards Devin Booker (right ankle injury management) and Jalen Green (right hamstring injury management) are both listed as out for Wednesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Additionally, Grayson Allen (right knee sprain), Isaiah Livers (left shoulder sprain) and Cole Anthony (not with team) are out. Both Allen and Livers will be reevaluated after the NBA All-Star break.

Booker has appeared in the past two games for Phoenix, shooting 42.9% from the floor and 28.6% from deep. He averaged 20 points, three rebounds and 7.5 assists across 32 minutes per game.

Before these past two games, Booker had missed seven games with the ankle issue.

Jalen Green (hamstring) questionable for Wednesday

Jalen Green (hamstring) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. (NBA Injury Report)

Green has recently been back in the lineup for Phoenix after missing much of the season due to a hamstring injury. The team may let him sit out on Wednesday night, however, to manage his workload and prevent him from re-aggravating his injury. If that's the case, look for Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin to benefit from his absence.

What channel is Thunder vs Lakers on TV tonight? Time, NBA schedule, injury report

The OKC Thunder will face the Los Angeles Lakers on the road at 9 p.m. CST Monday.

OKC (40-13) fell short in a 112-106 home loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday. Jalen Williams will make his return after missing the Thunder's last 10 games due to a right hamstring strain.

Los Angeles (32-19) secured a 105-99 home win over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. Luka Doncic is out due to a left hamstring strain.

Here's everything you need to know about Monday's game between the Thunder and Lakers:

Shot creation was an issue for OKC down the stretch of its loss to Houston on Saturday, but the return of Jalen Williams should help with that. Even when his 3-point shot hasn't fallen this season, the All-NBA forward has created looks for both himself and others by getting to the rim at will. And while the Lakers have some offensive weapons of their own in LeBron James and Austin Reaves, the Thunder has plenty of elite defenders to throw at them. I'm picking OKC to bounce back with a road win.

Thunder’s Jalen Williams To Return On Monday

Thunder forward Jalen Williams will return to action on Monday after missing the team’s past 10 games due to a right hamstring strain, writes Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman. Williams isn’t on Oklahoma City’s injury report for its game in Los Angeles against the Lakers.

It has been a stop-and-start season so far for Williams, who didn’t make his debut until November 28 after recovering from right wrist surgery. The 24-year-old appeared in the Thunder’s next 24 games before going down in Miami on January 17 with his latest injury.

In his 24 appearances, Williams has averaged 16.8 points, 5.6 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in 29.6 minutes per night, with a .470/.300/.833 shooting line. With a couple exceptions (his assists represent a career high), those numbers are down across the board from the ones he posted in his All-NBA campaign in 2024/25.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder prediction, pick on Monday 2/9/26

Alex Hunter breaks down his analysis, prediction and pick for Monday’s matchup between the Lakers and the Thunder.

The Lakers are hosting the Thunder on Monday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Oklahoma City is favored by 6.5 points and this game carries a total of 223.5 points.

Let’s dive into my preview and pick for the game.

The Thunder blew out the Lakers 121-92 in Oklahoma City back in November and tonight will be the second of five matchups between the clubs this season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Doncic were available for that first matchup, but both superstars will be inactive tonight, as Gilgeous-Alexander is dealing with an abdominal strain and Doncic is dealing with a hamstring strain.

Thunder's Aaron Wiggins: Won't start Monday

Wiggins is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Lakers, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Wiggins will take a seat with the Thunder set to roll out a starting lineup of Cason Wallace, Luguentz Dort, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein. Wiggins has come off the bench in 23 of 38 appearances this season, averaging 9.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 21.2 minutes per contest as a reserve.

Aaron Wiggins Shines as Top Scorer for Bench on Sunday

Aaron Wiggins delivered a standout performance as the top scorer for the bench on Sunday, leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 121-111 victory over the Denver Nuggets. His contribution included 14 points, six rebounds, and two steals in just 25 minutes of play.

Wiggins showcased his efficiency on the court with the following statistics:

Wiggins’ scoring ability was crucial for the Thunder’s bench unit, where he led both in points and rebounds. His performance came at a time when the Thunder were without key players, including Jalen Williams and Alex Caruso, who are sidelined due to injuries.

As the team continues to navigate its roster challenges, Wiggins has proven to be a valuable fantasy asset. His ongoing contributions will be essential as the Thunder look to maintain their competitive edge in upcoming games.

OKC Thunder Need Aaron Wiggins To Bring Offensive Boost

The Oklahoma City Thunder are in the middle of one of their most injury-riddled stretches of the season. Against the San Antonio Spurs, 10 names were present on the injury report.

Those 10 names included multiple key players who have to deal with multi-game issues. Superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, star Jalen Williams and Rising Star Ajay Mitchell have missed and will miss more time with their injuries.

Especially with Gilgeous-Alexander being sidelined through the All-Star break, production from other sources will be crucial for the Thunder to continue their success. Against the Spurs, Thunder wing Aaron Wiggins played great as the first option for his shorthanded team.

Thunder's Jaylin Williams: Moved into starting lineup

Williams is in the Thunder's starting lineup against the Spurs on Wednesday, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Williams will make his eighth start of the season Wednesday — and fourth in the Thunder's last six games — due to the absence of Isaiah Hartenstein (eye). Williams averaged 4.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 blocks over 25.0 minutes per game across his three prior starts.

Kenrich Williams Shines as Thunder Face Injury Challenges

The Oklahoma City Thunder are facing significant challenges this season due to injuries affecting key players. Notable absences include Jalen Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein, Alex Caruso, and Ajay Mitchell. Amid these difficulties, Kenrich Williams has stepped up as a crucial player. His contributions include reliable scoring, solid rebounding, and effective overall play as a role player.

Affectionately known as “Kenny Hustle,” Kenrich Williams has evolved his game in recent weeks. He has become a vital player for the Thunder during this tumultuous stretch.

These statistics highlight his value as a source of bench scoring, especially in the absence of other key players.

Kenrich Williams is Stepping Up Amidst Thunder Injuries

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been hit hard by the injury bug in this mid-season stretch; they have been missing key players Jalen Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein, Alex Caruso, Ajay Mitchell, and more.

Kenrich Williams has been a core piece for the Thunder in this stretch, providing consistent shot-making, rebounding, and the ability to be an all-around good role player.

“Kenny Hustle” has been considered a pure scorer, but lately, he has shown new layers to his game.

Over his past 10 games, Williams is averaging a career-high 8.4 points per game, shooting over 50% from the field with a 61% true shooting percentage. During this stretch, he has three of his 23 career 15+ point games.

OKC Thunder Announce Unique Starting Five, Hartenstein Goes to Bench

The Oklahoma City Thunder have a grueling stretch coming up. The team is forced to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight which tips off a stretch of battling the Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks. There are few roll over options on that list, perhaps just one, with the Bucks. All while being short handed.

Oklahoma City is without All-NBA swingman Jalen Williams, defensive-ace Alex Caruso and top bench bucket getter Ajay Mitchell as the Thunder do get starting big man Isaiah Hartenstein and defensive ace Cason Wallace back into the fold for Mark Daigneault's club.

Justin Martinez: Asked Mark Daigneault about the impact of getting Isaiah Hartenstein back tonight: "It's the point-of-attack defense. It's the pick-and-roll defense. It's what he does for our rebounding. He's an elite offensive rebounder, an elite screener, a great pocket passer and an above-the-rim finisher on the rolls. He obviously brings a lot of stuff to the table for us and kind of expands our optionality as a team, so we welcome him back. We're certainly thrilled to have him back."

Thunder 104-95 Pelicans (Jan 27, 2026) Game Recap

OKLAHOMA CITY — — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 29 points and the short-handed Oklahoma City Thunder beat the New Orleans Pelicans 104-95 on Tuesday night to avoid their first three-game skid of the season.

Chet Holmgren had 20 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks for NBA-best Oklahoma City (38-10), which had lost back-to-back home games for the first time this season. Isaiah Joe added 17 points.

The Thunder were missing starters Jalen Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein and Cason Wallace and key reserve Alex Caruso with injuries.

Gilgeous-Alexander shot 8 of 22 from the field but went 13 of 14 from the foul line. He scored at least 20 points for the 118th consecutive game, the second-longest streak in NBA history.

Thunder vs Pelicans highlights: Lu Dort, OKC topple Jeremiah Fears, New Orleans

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the OKC Thunder will host Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans at 7 p.m. CST Tuesday.

OKC (37-10) fell short in a 103-101 home loss to the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. New Orleans (12-36) earned a 104-95 road win over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.

Zion Williamson is a bruising forward. Trey Murphy III is a versatile scorer. Derik Queen is a skilled big man. And even Saddiq Bey is playing the best basketball of his career, averaging 20 points this month on 44.1% shooting from deep. New Orleans is a bigger threat than its 12-36 record implies, which it proved by earning a statement road win over San Antonio on Sunday. But this also feels like a statement game for OKC. A chance to show it can still win despite being extremely short-handed. And I think it'll deliver with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading the way offensively and the defense still playing at its usual elite level.
