A grass and bush fire burning south of the Sturt Highway near McGeochs South Road in the area of Borambola has been contained.
The fire burnt through 629ha of land and is now under control.

7.50pm: Conditions across the fireground near Borambola have eased and the threat to properties has reduced.
The RFS has downgraded the fire, which has burnt more than 780 hectares and is being controlled, to an advice alert level.
"Some trees in the area remain alight, and firefighters will work to fully extinguish them before tomorrows deteriorating conditions," it said.
People in the area have been encouraged to monitor conditions and stay up to date in case the situation changes.
