Laneway’s lineup for 2027 is here – and it’s looking pretty damn good.
Fontaines D.C. and Hayley Williams have been confirmed to lead the bill for the festival’s 22nd edition, after speculation earlier in the month, alongside Slayyyter, ADÉLA, Kim Petras, MUNA, Ninajirachi, Rico Nasty, DIIV, Rachel Chinouriri and plenty more.
The festival has also finally dropped ticket information. Tickets will first be available through the Laneway Festival presale on Wednesday, October 7th. The general sale will follow on Thursday, October 8th.
Fontaines D.C. announce their biggest Australian headline shows yet –
The Irish band have announced headline shows at RAC Arena in Perth on February 9 and AEC Arena in Adelaide on February 17, adding to their already-announced run of Laneway Festival dates across Australia and New Zealand.
It’s a pretty big jump for a band who spent their early years making grimy, guitar-heavy post-punk and playing rooms that felt a lot closer to the ground.
Six years on from Dogrel, Fontaines D.C. are now doing arena shows off their own back.
They’ll have a new record to bring with them, too. Dopamine Chamber, the band’s fifth album, is out October 16 via XL Recordings and Remote Control Records.

If Laneway’s 2027 poster feels slight, there’s a reason for that

Where are Laneway’s big names? They’re playing stadiums now.
It had just passed 11am when Laneway’s 2027 poster splashed across social media feeds. The knives came out, instantly. “None of these are big artists,” was one of the first comments to land. “Where on earth are the A-list acts?” asked another. “Where did their budget go?”
Laneway’s rollout had already been wobbly. Two controversial changes were confirmed for the Western Springs leg, the day moving from the Thursday before Waitangi weekend to a Sunday, and the date pushed to February 21, just five days before its juggernaut rival Electric Avenue kicks off down in Christchurch.
