UFC 333’s Grant Dawson: Timing is Everything
Coming off a big win against grappler Mateusz Rębecki, Grant Dawson was thrusted right back into a fight with another grappler. Just a few months removed from his last fight, he was offered undefeated Tajik prospect, Nurullo Aliev. While he’s a tough out for anyone in the division, Dawson particularly liked the matchup.
“I think that my, our styles match up great. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have taken the fight,” Dawson said with a laugh “No, I’m kidding. I’m just joking.”
All joking aside, Dawson does respct the dangers that come along with fighting someone like Aliev. However, after having issues with big punchers in the past, he is glad to see another fighter who wants to do some wrestling across from him.
