Game Preview #4: Wolves at Cavaliers Game Thread
Minnesota looks to continue on their quest for 82-0 on a back-to-back in Cleveland.
To quote new Timberwolves commentator Kevin Calabro, “Nothing but cord.” Fresh off another hot shooting night where Minnesota was 15 for 31 from deep (48%) they prepare for their first back-to-back of the season. Coach Chris Finch rewarded the effort of his squad with frequent breathers and deployed 11 players in non-garbage minutes. Some of this was due to LaMelo Ball foul trouble. Or was that Melo’s strategy all along for saving his legs for the next day?
Minnesota’s opponent the Cleveland Cavaliers are struggling to find their Eastern Conference Finalist form in the early goings of the season. They will have the advantages of rest and home court as they host the undefeated Wolves.

Timberwolves vs. Cavaliers Prediction, Odds and Best NBA Prop Bets for Monday, Oct. 26
The Minnesota Timberwolves are off to a 3-0 start in the LaMelo Ball-Anthony Edwards era, knocking off the Toronto Raptors on Sunday to move to No. 1 in the league in defensive rating and a tie for No. 1 in net rating.
Now, the Wolves have a quick turnaround against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday as they look to get to 4-0 this season. The Cavs are 1-1 through two games, and they haven’t looked particularly impressive in either.
Donovan Mitchell and company blew a 24-point halftime lead against Philadelphia in their season opener before narrowly beating the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday. So, it’s a little surprising to see the Cavs favored by 4.5 points with Minnesota yet to rule anyone out (the team has not released an injury report yet) on the second night of a back-to-back.
