    Jason Earles says he lied about his age to get 'Hannah Montana' role

    Earles, who played older brother Jackson Stewart on the Disney Channel show, revealed in a March 17 podcast episode that he had a "big secret," one he worried would cost him his job.

    "I was desperately afraid that I was going to be fired and recast because I had a big secret. So, when I auditioned for the show, I lied to them and told them I was 18 years old," Earles said on the inaugural episode of "Best of Both Our Worlds: The Official, Unofficial Hannah Montana Podcast."

    "It was another reason why I didn't almost audition for the show because I was like 'I'm too old.' The character's 16. Nobody's going to buy it," Earles added.

    AFL to open Marvel Stadium roof when weather is clear during twilight and night games

    Marvel Stadium has introduced a new roof policy following last year’s “sweatgate” incident involving Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge.

    7NEWS chief AFL reporter Mitch Cleary has revealed that the venue — which is owned by the AFL — will now prioritise fan (and coach) comfort by opening the roof for twilight and night matches when weather conditions are clear.

    “And right now, there is no man more relieved in the footy landscape than Luke Beveridge,” Cleary said on Channel 7’s The Agenda Setters on Wednesday.

    “Marvel, they’ve changed the rule off the back of this man.”

    Cleary then showed vision of Beveridge in the coaches’ box during his team’s Round 1 clash with North Melbourne in 2025.

    Justin Edwards and Quentin Grimes have played a whole lot of March basketball together over the last two years.

    If there is one feeling that has persisted throughout the 2025-26 Sixers season, it is volatility. Signs of major promise have been routinely followed up by devastating crashes back down to harsh realities, and vice versa.

    So, it was only fitting that after suffering an embarrassing wire-to-wire loss at the hands of the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, the shorthanded Sixers notched an emphatic 139-118 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.     Sixers have chance to bounce back against tanking Kings

    After a blowout loss to the Nuggets, the Sixers will be trying to pick up a win against the shorthanded, tanking Kings. What could go wrong?

    Update: After initially being listed as doubtful for today’s game, Joel Embiid has now been downgraded to out.

    After doing a nice job picking up two straights wins, including a solid performance against the Blazers on Sunday, it’s hardly surprising the Hospital Sixers faltered against the Nuggets on Tuesday. They were dismantled 124-96, falling behind 38-22 after the first quarter and never recovering from there.

    If the Sixers are going to grab another win before any of their stars return, though, Thursday’s matchup against the Kings is one of their best opportunities. At just 18-52, Sacramento is firmly at the bottom of the Western Conference.

    Nique Clifford Injury: Questionable for Thursday

    Clifford is questionable to play Thursday against the 76ers due to soreness in his left hamstring.
