Dua Lipa Joins 'Peaked' Comedy Movie At A24 (EXCLUSIVE)
EXCLUSIVE: A24‘s Peaked has landed another buzzy name in Grammy-winning pop star Dua Lipa.
Character details are under wraps. In the film directed by Molly Gordon from a script by Gordon and Allie Levitan, she’ll star alongside both.
Peaked follows the two girls who traumatized you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.
As previously announced, others in the ensemble include Emma Mackey, Connor Storrie, Laura Dern, Simone Ashley, Levon Hawke, Mitra Jouhari, Gabby Windey, Amy Sedaris, Owen Thiele, Jaya Harper, Emil Wakim and Alex Consani.
A24 is financing the project and producing alongside David Hinojosa, Zach Nutman and Gordon, with Levitan exec producing. Production is slated to begin next month.

Peaked follows two friends at a 10-year high-school reunion as they relive their golden years. The film also stars Connor Storrie, Emma Mackey, Laura Dern, Alex Consani, and more. While a release date for the film has not been announced, production is set to start next month.
Dua has pursued acting roles in the past. She was cast in the 2023 Greta Gerwig movie Barbie (and also sang a song for it), as well as the 2024 film adaptation of the unpublished spy novel Argylle. She has also appeared as a host and guest on SNL.

Dua Lipa had a cameo in the 2023 blockbuster Barbie, but her next film, 2024’s Argylle, didn’t do that well. Now she’s aiming to split the difference with a role in a third film.
The “Levitating” singer has joined the cast of A24’s upcoming comedy Peaked, which is about two high school mean girls who “try to relive their glory days at their 10-year-reunion,” according to the studio.
The cast also includes Oscar winner Laura Dern, Heated Rivalry‘s Connor Storrie, Bridgerton‘s Simone Ashley, Gabby Windey from The Traitors, Emma Mackey from The Chronicles of Narnia and Saturday Night Live cast member Emil Wakim.
