Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "Another game we should have won – we played pretty well. First half was a none event, neither team grabbed the game like they could have done.
"Second half we did do that, scored a great goal from our perspective and then was in the position to win the game. It's happened too many times this season where we haven't followed through and defended well enough."
On poor defending: "It contributes to a lot – the feeling when you are able to defend well and consistently keep clean sheets it stabilises you as a team and you feel you can see out a game.
