Coaches’ votes Round 13: Dawson’s big-game impact recognised after Cats thriller

Crows Captain Jordan Dawson’s inspirational performance in Adelaide’s one-point win against Geelong on Thursday night has earned him a perfect 10 in the AFLCA Coaches’ votes.

The 29-year-old was brilliant in the middle, and damaging in attack, finishing the match with 22 disposals, nine tackles, seven clearances, seven marks, three goals and 486 metres gained.

Young gun Dan Curtin was also prolific, and received eight votes following his team-high 26 disposals, five clearances, five marks, one goal and 527 metres gained.

Forward and Vice Captain Alex Neal-Bullen rounded out the vote-getters for Adelaide with one, after amassing 15 disposals, five tackles, three clearances and kicking a goal.

Adelaide Crows captain Jordan Dawson has opened up on his outpouring of emotions after last week’s win over Geelong, revealing he ‘just wanted Jaryd there’ to celebrate with him.

The star midfielder has been playing through grief following his brother’s death earlier this year.
