T20 World Cup: England the best they have been "in years", says Alex Hartley
Former spinner Alex Hartley says England are playing their best cricket for "years" and she is "very confident" about their chances in Thursday's T20 World Cup semi-final.
England progressed to their meeting with South Africa at The Oval with five wins from five in Group 2 and a series of impressive performances.
But they have not won a World Cup since 2017, faltering in underwhelming fashion in five knockout matches across those nine years.
"They look good," Hartley, 32, told BBC Test Match Special. "I don't want to put the mockers on them.
"I am going into the semi-finals nervous, because we haven't seen them under pressure and it's where England have crumbled and failed over the last three or four years, but I am very confident."
