Powerball players outraged over lottery’s historic expansion abroad: ‘Rigged anyway’
Powerball players in the US vowed that they were “done” playing the popular lotto game after it reached the shores of the UK amid its international expansion, accusing officials of corruption.
Jackpot hopefuls say they will play their state lottery games rather than test their luck at winning the massive prize, which now stands at over $600 million following Wednesdayâs drawing.
Wednesdayâs draw marked the first time that players in the UK could take part for $5.35 (£4) per line.

Powerball opened ticket sales to United Kingdom residents earlier this week, the first time non-U.S. lottery players can try to win the massive jackpot.
Rebecca Paul, president and CEO of the Tennessee Lottery, said earlier this month the more players buying tickets means "faster-growing jackpots," as ticket sales contribute toward the prize fund.
