Victorian education union members have voted in favour of a revised state government pay deal after months of bargaining.

The deal guarantees pay rises of at least 28.3 per cent for the state's public school staff.

The revised pay deal will now go to all employees for a vote.

Victorian teachers and education staff have voted yes to a revised pay deal from the state government, signalling an end to a protracted bargaining process that included two strikes.

The revised government offer, which was handed down last week, promises pay rises between 28.3 per cent and 32.4 per cent over four years, and a lump sum payment of $2,000 at the start of the agreement.

‘Congratulations, well done’: Third strike called off as teachers back pay deal

Australian Education Union members have voted to accept the state government’s latest pay and conditions offer, calling off a third statewide school strike at the eleventh hour.

Teachers, principals and support staff have endorsed a minimum pay increase of 28.3 per cent over four years, after union members voted in favour of the offer on Monday.

Members voted to cancel planned industrial action on Wednesday, which would have meant public school teachers stopped work for 24 hours for a third time this year.

Victorian union boss Justin Mullaly said 79 per cent of members had endorsed the government’s offer.

“Congratulations, well done on your campaign,” he said in an address to members on social media.
