NBA® 2K27 Introduces NBA® 2K HQ: The Official Companion App for Players on the Go
Full MyPLAYER Builder access arrives five days before of Early Access, giving players a head start before tip-off
Today, 2K announced NBA® 2K HQ, the official companion app for NBA® 2K27, the latest iteration of the NBA video game franchise developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K. NBA 2K HQ connects players to NBA 2K27 anywhere, from integrated social tools to the full MyPLAYER Builder, ensuring players are always close to the action. The app launches August 21 on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, five days ahead of Early Access on August 26.
“NBA 2K HQ gives the essentials our players need to stay connected no matter where their day takes them,” said Erick Boenisch, VP of NBA Development, Visual Concepts. “Whether our players want to craft their next build so they can step onto the hardwood fully prepped, or check in with their Crew between sessions, they’ll never have to hit pause on their progress.”

NBA 2K HQ Launches Today: Mobile Builder Lets You Draft Your Player Early
For the first time in franchise history, NBA 2K27 players can finalize their MyPLAYER build — height, wingspan, position, attribute spread, and all 53 badges — without sitting in front of a console. NBA 2K HQ, 2K's entirely new companion app, launches today at 8:00 AM PT on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, five days before Early Access opens on August 26 and two full weeks before the game's worldwide release on September 4.
This is not an incremental update to the franchise's previous companion app, MyNBA2K. That app was pulled from app stores on August 18 and officially sunset the moment NBA 2K HQ goes live. What replaces it is a meaningfully different product: NBA 2K HQ puts the complete MyPLAYER Builder — the same one available on console — directly on the phone, with automatic cloud sync so that a build created on mobile is ready and waiting the moment a player picks up their controller.
